Hi, please be very careful, when I offered a reward for a stolen car i had several people contact me, claiming to have my car but really just wanting to lure me into a situation where by they could take my cash. Clearly its worth thinking of a detail that only a person who has possesion of the car can reveal to make sure they indeed do have the car and secondly give great thought to any meeting you set up prioritising your own security. That said it certainly can work, a friend got a kidnapped dog back by posting a reward, just be very aware of the type of person you are dealing with.
Don t do that, these people must to go in jail. The best way it s to be patient it will be long, 1 year or more less if you are lucky. Anyway, this car 2281 will come back. What about interpole? Did you tried?
I hope you are right - but I think it will be the opposite. For Interpol etc. its just a car - like any modern Porsche Turbo etc of the same value. For this Ass***** who have the car stolen the value of it is not important. If they can get Euro 25k by parts out of a car thats worth 10x more - its a good deal for them. I fear that this car will be parted out by this criminals. For the owner who really loved his car and had many emotional connections to it, the loss is a disaster! But how much is a disaster worth in money…..?
So do I ... believe me ... so do I ! And ... Walter (Mr. Ferrarikiller ) , we will have some beer together, when she's back. I think positive !

Mark I am so sorry to hear of this. I work with TRutlands Ferrari parts here in Georgia USA and I will make sure everyone knows about this! The more people know the better the chances of you getting 2281GT back...keep a positive mindset!
Markus, I hope that you get back your "baby" soon -- but this would be a sensation….! "Ferrarikiller": better the Ferrari than myself...
Thank YOU, Wolfgang E. and Mitch, VERY MUCH ! EVERYONE must know about it - so keep sharing at all forums.
The good news is that PF stamped or marked numbers on many parts in those days, so it will not be easy to part it out.
If anyone got an offer from a "not-well-known-seller" , please keep an eye on these numbers. THANK YOU ! ... remember the 25 k EUR reward Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Markus, I just noticed this story Owner offering ?5,000 reward for stolen Mercedes-Benz SL 190 | Classic Driver Magazine Looks like there was more than one theft this year from the Oldtimer GP
unfortnately as you can see, i offered much more actually 2 times more, more than 10 years ago and did not get my car back. Mercedes 280 SL 'Pagoda' stolen at Techno Classica | Classic Driver Magazine conclusion are CLassic car events in Germany are dangerous as people are circulating with trailers and leave with other peoples cars. Car seldom come back as there has to be some organized network either to resell them and in the case of relatively low value cars, i am afraid people dismantle them and sell parts. Final comment there has to be some fetichists of dark grey DB190 in Germany as my Pagoda was exactly of the same colour as the 190! 11 years later and many many cars later, still angry at this and still looking at car magazine to see if it would re appear. best wishes nevertheless to recover both cars and i put the old add of mine ,,to refresh memories in case someone saw it!
for me as a owner of GT/E this is something unbelievable.. i will keep my eyes open here in Czech/Slovakia and around. but little bit afraid if car didnt finish in eastern part of europe or balcan... Julius
Thank you guys ! Yes, my beloved GT/E was not the only one that particular night at the ring ... :-( Thank you, Julius (my son is named Julius) for keeping the eyes on her at eastern europe.
I will keep an eye in Balkans area but we aren't the big market for stolen cars anymore like we used to be in 1990s. Especially not for the classic cars. Another possibility here is that parts eventually show up in a replica of some more valuable 250 GT version.
