I'm curious - did you find it and that's the pix you posted? Or are those
the pix from where it was stolen?

I'm hoping the former not the latter.

Interesting sidemarkers on this Dino - they look similar to US reflectors/sidemarkers, but they aren't . . . . And the people standing around looking at the car appear to be police or firemen.

It's interesting that The Dino Register notes 02878 had wide fenders, Campys and covered headlights. I don't see evidence of any of these in either of the pictures. Further, Dino Register also indicates that wide arches & Campagnolo wheels didn't appear until the 04000s, c. 1973. The 'tacked on' side marker lights may have been an inexpensive/easy/minimally invasive mod for federalization when it was imported to the City of the Angels.
I'm sure we'll find out more as our historians get involved here. :)

    +1 what I said :D

Pix BEFORE stolen, or pix AFTER FOUND? Did you FIND IT? I can't tell from your
    post.

Confused. The wheels look like Campagnolo wheels to me.

Colour is right and there is always the possibility that who ever registered the Dino on the register site does know what ugly fender flares are, or maybe this site defaults these fields to yes.

There is the answer. Great when a stolen car is found :).

#02878 clearly didn`t have wide fenders / Campagnolo rims and ....
These entries are wrong and should be corrected. I let Matthias Urban know.

I will change that with the next update and, I assume, you are right. In many cases the owners do not really know, what wide fenders and Campagnolo a.s.o. really are, but I at first have to rely on the data provided to the Register. Every correction by the Experts is always highly appreciated.

PS: thank you for this wonderful news about 02878, it may make an owner very, very happy!

Good news, I got a call from the Police today, who told me that they found the right owner thanks to me (Thanks Tillman ;) ) and the car will be returned to Erik tomorrow morning. He has missed this car since 2008 and is looking forward to getting it back.

Thanks everyone, it's amazing what can be achieved when this community stick together, even though it wasnt that difficult - remember that a car was returned to its owner :D

    Thanks

The wheels aren't Campagnolos - they are Cromodoras.

It has just been recovered, and the Police have no records of it, and need help in finding the rightful owner. So if anyone know anything, please let me know."

Not complaining, but it would have been helpful to have had this information posted early on when the "Stolen Dino" thread was re-posted in the 206/246 section. . . .
