Stolen highly modified Porsche 944 turbo. Guards Red. Stolen this morning in New Jersey. Please keep an eye out for it or parts of it. Take a look at this website to identify. Help get the word out please. Owner, not me but I do read this board often, has put years of work and money into this highly modified car.

Been there. Two cars stolen, both recovered in Newark. One destroyed, the other surprisingly not too bad.

East Orange is another place where these cars end up. Had 2 stolen myself (actually 3) and they either end up in Newark, East Orange or Irvington.

Good Luck...I know how this can eat you alive inside.

Edit: I just took a look at the site and this is a beautiful example. Keep us posted...I hope to hear that she's recovered in good shape soon.

Could also end up in Bridgeport, CT. Lots of stolen cars end up in Bpt., but the cars are mostly camries, tauruses, accords, etc..

Hope it turns up soon!!! That is a gorgeous 944 turbo!!

Damn guys, that really sucks! I went to his site before scrolling to the bottom of the page and it was reported as found on the 23rd of this month, I was actually really happy for him, but here now I read that it's been violated. I hope the responsible party for the cars being stolen gets hell.

    I always wondered....
The police know certain illegal activity it taking place as they plan these extended operations and "wait" until springing their traps.

I wonder just how much grief and vehicles and other things could have been prevented/stopped had they not waited and shut things down much earlier.

True, you might not get "ring leaders", but you might not have a given Porsche/Ferrari/Subaru stolen either. I wonder if there's any liability on the police investigations there???

it is amazing all that is going on that they must or do know about and some even set-up "stings" were real people's property gets screwed over...all permissible...I am cynical but I can imagine that they may have waited for the guy to snare a Ferrari for the larger costs invovled and maybe even the headlines...not a knock against law enforcement but I hear where Clyde is coming from...let's just hope they got the right guy.

Maybe there was not enough to put him away for very long so they waited. Im sure you wouldnt want him to be free after a year or less, even as is I wonder how much time he will do for this. Its not like he killed someone or stole millions from innocent people.

Real shame hope every thing works out . Yes it's the truth certain investigation take a while and the one who suffer is the average citizen who now has to deal with the ins/comp who don't want to pay out. good luck!!! we have some cars that are used for the operations but these nuckle heads know what they are looking for. they actualy have a shoping list of cars to steal at the malls especialy.

Holy cow!!! I just read thru that link... very creepy. Can we get speculation from Rolex as to how Kipper found the car? Was it taken from home, and such? Did Kipper access DMV records?

Not sure but both Rolex and Turby (Kippers Rennlist signon) are well known on Rennlist. Rolex's website contained pictures of his license plate thus with a little work his address was probably found.

BTW, the 355 Challenge was a FerrariChat member's car. His post is on the main page.
