    Guys,

Getting ready to paint correct my latest 95 Berlinetta, very early car (I believe 15th car to come to North America)

As all do, the car has some small stone chips.

I started by putting a piece of blue painters tape near each chip, mixed up some Glasurit single stage left over from painting bumpers, and used these really cool micro brushes that I found a few months back at Hobby Lobby.

These are perfect. With the proper paint thickness, you can fill the chip nicely. In some cases the paint pools right in and levels off nearly perfect. Small pin head chips, the paint will rise above but I will knock those down via wet sanding prior to buff.

Do the brushes have a size or are they known just as "micro brushes?"

I might be tempted to do this on my car since it has about 4-5 touch up spots that I can see.

Im doing this but having a base/clear coat its hard to match with the touch up paints. Im covering the paint with real 2 part clear coat and while the spot clearcoat looks ok the red is to dark.

I bought paint in rosa corsa and the **** doesnt match. Dr color chip, paintscratch.com and some duplicolors trying them out but mostly to dark at the moment.
Been a few days sinve I worked on the ferrari so Ill have to get back to it.

Im.waiting on more sand paper for the paint correction or cut and buff that ill ve doing. Going for.the 1500, 3000, 5000 grit and then polish. It looks so good without the orange peel.

Im going to get some real PPG 322 and do the bumpers and see if I can get the chips with that but I may need to just respray the nose on this car. I flat out hate the paint chips.

Looking at the 3m paint protection and wrap the nose and all the places that get road rash.

But honestly the time I already have invested in these paint chips I could have repainted the car by now haha

This is hilarious , i used a $4.00 bottle of touch up in a bright gm red bought at a parts store and it matched perfect , used the simple old brush in the cap and used good old 1200 grit to sand it off and buffed it with a common wool pad from napa ,simple , only difference is i, i just did it , never though it was ferrarichat thread worthy.

Nope! Not any more anyway. I also have some of the paint used (along with hardener) for when the inevitable occurs. :D

Nobody is forcing you to read this thread. The information provided here by Dave may not be useful to you, as you seem to be an expert in every field imaginable, however there are others that appreciate threads like this and the effort that goes into them.

Id gander what you call matching and what I call matching are two different things haha.
I habe the same paint it dirsnt match anywhere on my car. I have chips all over it doesnt match at all too dark or to light.

All your finish got was a wool pad? Poor paint

Johnny, I did not buy the paint, the painter did. He got it from Baers Paint, Buffalo 716-565-6800. If you need help, let me know.
