Let's do another Stooge track day Saturday April 22 or Sunday April 23 at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway!!! Who's in???? Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
Their little cabins look operational.. I was out there a few days ago. Maybe we need a whole weekend at the track.
OK I am in !!!! Next surgery second week of march Lets figure how many cars and what cars to bring Silver black or both?
You the man! We'll have plenty of open passenger seats as long as you're not a screamer! Just registered, and reserved a cabin too! Sleeps up to 4, and some are pet friendly! Party Saturday night???? Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
I'd like to go to, had to cancel on the one in November, but still have the credit, so this sounds like a great opportunity to use it. Most people are going for the 2 days? -Andrew
Wow. That looks like a blast. Those cabins look perfect. Wish I was closer. I would be all over this. Have fun. I'll be shoveling snow.
Sure if you don't mind me driving your car since I got only one trailer. We are both too old and tired to run every session anyway and can swap off or run two groups. I'm too dumb for point-by so have to run in advanced open passing group.
I'm sure we'll make you feel welcome......unless you pass us twice on the same lap C'mon, it'll be a great time!
Gents, The wife and I have a cabin for Friday and Saturday night. I've managed to shoe horn two cars into my 24' trailer. Did a test run with the rig last weekend for the local autocross. I've never ran this track or with this club. Is there any event or run group schedules posted? Any pre-tech of cars required? Hope to see and meet some of you gents there. Cheers! LOL! Only an engineer would do that! I love it. The club is really th CVR track who hosts these casual track days. There are a few groups like beginner, int, adv. and they just rotate every 20-30mins all day. Usually an int group starts so beginners don't have a green track and adv. guys can get cars off trailers. The beginner then adv. rinse and repeat. Tech is a self tech sheet you have seen before and it is on their website. I'm sure you already pass.
My wife/organizer is telling me there is some three day Lotus Cup USA thing going on that has qualifying and a race etc. I think the track days are $175/each. If this other event is going on it would be kinda nice to see a schedule because I don't think that is cheap for Chuckwalla is it? She said the Lotus race event is like $899 for one option and then there were other more expensive packages ... what are we missing here? This doesn't sound like just advanced, intermediate, and beginner groups (three run groups). Any thoughts?
Sean, Round 2: Chuckwalla Valley Raceway ? Lotus Cup USA This is my WAG. There are 5 lotus guys so far. They will have 2 practice session 1 qualy and 1 race perday for total 4 sessions. STAR who is really CVR is doing an pointby and open passing group of just anybody...that's us. That's 3 groups rotating over the day kinda like any other trackday with beg, int, and adv group rotating out. Maybe Plugzit knows more I have only been to CVR once and I was mostly manning the BBQ.
