I wasn't able to log on to the Exclusive Community a few minutes ago, so I guess this might mean that we are "Stoops" as far as they are concerned. That's my best guess at least.

My password didn't work for about a month now, guess they don't like Mondial owners...

 

Many discussions are in progress from what I've been told by multiple sources. Bottom line is that no one is happy about this and you're 100% correct that an explanation is very much in order.

The light is now shining brightly...we'll see what happens.

Initially we were surprised, but upon further introspection I'm realizing that I'm not.

It's truly unfortunate what took place yesterday and I believe that it shed light on the direction of where that sight is going. I for one know that many (and I mean many) of the members over there are inflamed and are seriously questioning whether their participation will continue.

I know I speak for many when I say that I enjoyed having the option of viewing forums on both Fchat and ITEC since they both provide a valuable resource for information and friendships with others who share the same passion for fine automobiles.

I'm now 100% clear on the fact that I wasn't understanding the "meaning" of ITEC and the fact that while I would call many of the guys over there friends, they really weren't. No friend (especially those that you have gone out of your way to help out on multiple occasions) would stab you in the back completely without warning and then turn around and ask you for a hug.

While I don't take these forums too seriously (I have a family, a career, and other interests), I do very much enjoy having all of you as a part of my daily life/routine. I think of all my friends here as "friends" and I know you all know that I would drop what ever it is that I'm doing to help you out in a heartbeat. That's just the way that I am.

I've said enough here and while I certainly have a lot more in me, I don't want to sound like I'm ranting on. The net net of this is that I'll still be here on Fchat contributing and looking forward to seeing you all on runs and at planned activities. I have a feeling you'll be seeing more of us spending a WHOLE lot more time here....you can count on it.

Welcome to the conclusion that I reached many moons ago. I'm sorry you had to arrive at it in this shape and form, but so be it. Focus on the real friends you have, not on the individuals that purport to be your "friends" but backstab you at a moment's notice. The other board is full of them, which is tremendously ironical if you think about what they were trying to create. This board has plenty too.

Think about what I've alway said:
- Online personalities ARE a reflection of real personalities
- The "old EC crew" has splintered big time, and will never be regrouped the way we were in 2004, that's just the reality. Lets not waste time and effort trying to make it so
- Large, underlying socio-economic differences are starting to emerge, including what I like to call the "money with no class" syndrome
- New blood has come to this forum, and there are some great new members. Embrace 'em
- Move on

You, probably more so then any other member of this community, have gone out of your way to help others. Your *real* friends are acutely aware of this, and will always have your back.

This board will always be open to you, and the other "remoras."

Well, I don't get it. I wasn't on yesterday at all. If someone in-the-know would PM me, I'd appreciate it.

Though I'm damn glad I tapped in this morning before I ran out to Brad's for the run & his birthday party. Guess I'll just mail his card now. Go figure.

 

I was planning on going too. Not now.

 

I could get on for about half the day yesterday but only got to check the site once, about the drive to RI and MASS. And haven't gotten on since. Figured I would come in here since some of you guys are still over here. what happened?? Someone please let me know.

 

I'll hold all my comments about politics relating to insidetheec.com, bc nothing good could come out of it. Fchat is a place to share my passion for cars, not my negativity towards others. Friendships were made, and unfortunately, just as easily broken the world goes on.

As a note to all, the stickers I designed, paid for, and handed out over the past year mean East Coast, and they represent a community of Fchat members who share the same passion as I do for Ferraris. The sticker does not represent a club, a fraternity, a colony or anything other than like-minded people who share a collective passion.

The sticker is on my car and I do not plan on removing it.

Im sorry it came down to this guys, i myself was cut from that site yesterday, and magically reinvited. I find no reason what so ever for your guys banning, they want to make the community stronger, but by keep on decreasing the people on it there just making the site weaker.
