We are in the process of a major remodeling of our home, which unfortunately for my 308 means she loses her indoor space, until the remodel is finished. (The contractor says 6 months, so I am told to double that time?!?!) I am looking for a good temporary home for her but most of my search has resulted in standard storage facilities. What I am looking for is an actual car storage facility that will properly store my car i.e., keep her clean and driveable, control the humidity, keep her charged, and of course keep her safe. Does anyone know of such a place or could make any suggestions for my storage issue?

There are many nice auto storage facilities out there...but, its difficult to recommend one for you as your failure to complete your profile makes it difficult to know where you live!

Flashback Motorsports in Cumming is a good place. Excellent facilities very safe and not to costly per month. Last I heard it was about $100 per month

Yes I second Jeff's recommendation of Flashback Motorworks in Cumming. There are several Ferraris being stored at Flashback. They are friendly and it is a very safe place.

Thank you for that recommendation. Flashback was one of the facilities that looked into and quite honestly after some research I was somewhat disappointed with the storage piece of their business. They are primarily a restoration shop which is fine, however, they do their body work/mechanical work VERY close to where the cars are stored (no seperation from the stored cars). Furthermore, from what I could gather the cars just sat. But I am truly thankful for your recommendation.

    Dear Momma:

I just found out about this site and just joined. I do not store any of my cars away from home however couple of acquaintances do. I know they both are using a place in Tucker. I do not know exactly where they are located as I understand they do not disclose their location unless you store your car with them since they store cars for some high profile people. My friend just sent me their website maybe you can start there.

The company is European Auto Vault www.europeanautovault.com

May be you can write back and let us know what you found out.

    Good luck with your remodeling.

What part of town do you live in? If you need short term storage ... I can offer the other half of my garage... it would be next to my 328... its dry, and fairly temp controlled... if any interest send me a pvt message... I live in Buckhead off of 75 & howell mill rd.

I had to store my 348 for about 3 months last year and used My Car Vault (www.mycarvault.com) in Smyrna just inside the perimeter. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, security, and service (owner met me every other Sunday morning so I could take it for a spin). There were 4 Porsches in there and about 7 American classics.

I would definitely check it out as you consider your options. PM me if you have any more questions.

I work at Flashback and I would suggest you come up and see the place before you decide. Besides, we are apparently a lot cheaper than the other places. The body shop (where the dust etc. would come from) is in a seperate closed off area and the mechanical work areas are seperated by a large ailse way. We have a Ferrari Daytona here in storage and the customer chose his "spot" so he would feel even better about storage location. I don't mind to do the same for you. If you want the car started every now and then I can do that for you as well. Either way, I figure if you are a car guy, you are going to want to check us out. BTW, we are open 6:30am to 6pm mon-fri and Saturdays from 9-12pm

Give me a call if it suits you.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am planning on researching a few of these recommendations. I will do some leg work and let you know of my findings and decision. Spirot, your space might well be my best choice. Thank you for your offering.

the European auto vault.......that place looks like a ton of drama. they don't disclose the location ?

    gimme a break.

looks like their target market is the rapper-athlete crowd. of which, i would think they would want to know what kind of expensive cars they have.

flashback may be a hike depending on your local. but if they'll let you use a bubble - it should alleviate most of my worries about storing my car there.
