As you all know, I always change the wheels and tires on my cars and I was curious if I could store them in my roof attic. It sure is hot in the attic and I am sure there is moisture as well as other issues I should concerned with.

Any thoughts ??? Wifey would like me to remove them from the office in our home. (12 wheels and tires all stacked in 2 rows)

I use the storage racks bought at Tire Rack that are like $129 each (two racks holds three sets of my tires). With the wide tires you are storing they probably are only good for 4 tires per rack, but they look decent and get them off the floor. As for the attic I vote "NO", unless it is intended for maybe 4 months tops.

As long as the rows are neat, what could be the problem? ;)
I know someone......... and I think you do too (Bill B) who has a car storage facility who could probably cut you a nice deal to store them there. Family and friends discount starts tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken.

Robert, heat is a big enemy of the rubber: I would not recommend the attic for storing your tires.

    Dear Ferraristi,

As the rest of the FL guys/gals know...it's super hot in the attic. You will accelerate drying out the rubber on your tires.

Why not build or have built a floor to ceiling standing rack out of square tube steel. You could even have some doors made out of diamond plate aluminum for a decorative look. This would solve your problem permanently.

Robert, re arrange the tires, throw a tablecloth over it and make a new table!

I say no for the attic also. Costco sells a great rack you can use for storage.

store them on stacked on their sides or on a rack - if you want I can probably find a place for them in air conditioned space.

Better on their sides. Even in a rack, even pumped up to max pressure (which is a good idea during storage) gravity will do its magic and make flat spots. You will end up with predictable harmonic vibrations.
