What else needs to be wrong with it to convince you it's a bad buy?

Been on Ebay for a very, very long time.

It's not necessarily a bad buy, it's just the price has to be adjusted appropriately. They need to sell it for $95k or so and then it's a good deal.

I think the auction has ended in the $95K range a few times. I agree the price needs adjustment.

    I'd give them $50K.

If it passes a PPI at a reputable shop and it sells for just under $100, wouldnt be too bad. Not in the market right now myself. Just thought it was interesting that it was back on ebay.

yeah Im not sure why the floor being damaged (and I assume fixed properly) is having such a huge effect on this car.

Especially if the person interested in it was going to keep it............if not it might not be a good buy.

because people on here only want to buy the most perfect car they can get there hands on. And then IF they ever do, and they have an off... the majority of them will wish that this site never existed

I understand that.... having just purchased a CS myself ( a perfect car).

What Im saying is that if somebody wants a CS for a discounted price, knowing that the floor had been punctured and disclosed prior to the sale then it shouldnt be a problem................especially if it was being purchased for a track car, daily driver etc etc.

I personally wouldnt have bought it because Im extremely picky and try to buy what I feel is a perfect or as close to perfect car as possible.

All Im saying is different strokes for different folks :)

I agree. I tend to drive my cars pretty hard, and use them in the rain, etc. This would be a good car for me at $95K. The car was totaled by the insurance company and wholesaled off to these guys that have it for sale. It certainly looks like they overestimated what they could sell it for, and are stubbornly holding out for more than the market will bear. They've had it quite a while.

It's interesting to remember that the guy who put the hole in the floor was given $210K by the insurance company when they totaled it and took it away 1 1/2 years ago. He was offered $115K for damages if he wanted to keep it.

Also, there have been around 3k+ miles put on it since the insurance company possessed it. Might be hard miles.

Likely a great car for someone who's planning to keep it and drive the snot out of it. Sellers are currently holding firm at $109.5k

    On another note.

The Red/Red leather CS (3500 mile) at Ferrari NE is back on the market. They told me it sold a month ago for $145K. Buyer fell through. They offered it yesterday for $135K.

So, there goes that data point in my research. I have yet to find a CS to sell for over $130'sK.

I'm still in the market. If any of you guys with cars listed forever want to sell, let me know but I'm not paying over $135K.

My research is also showing SCUD's selling for a good bit under $200K.

    Then, there's the 599......

There are plenty of cars (CS) that can be had for $135k or less ... pull the trigger. If none of those float your boat, go ahead and snag one of those less than $200k Scuds.

    Then, there's the 599 .....

    $135K for a RED/Stripe/low miles. Not Blue/10,000 miles/dent in the door.

Jason I honestly think you will be hard pressed to find a clean, no stories up to date CS in either of the reds........corso or scuderia for under 135k...........I looked at a bunch until I finally found the right one. :)

I haven't seen any Scuderia transactions in the range your research shows. Are they wrecked? Not in the US? I'm curious where these sub $200k transactions are taking place.

I think sellers of these cars will be hard pressed to find buyers above $135K.

I've been in the market too. I'm not making this stuff up. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet is because the 458 is just around the corner.

The ONLY CS transaction I've seen lately is yours. I don't know what you paid for your car. It's a beautiful car btw.

I've made many offers in a consistent price range and haven't been successful. You could say my offers are too low. I'd agree with you if all the cars I've made offers on weren't still sitting there.

This information isn't advertised mate. Break out your checkbook and pick up the phone and watch what happens.

If I don't find a CS in the next moth I'll go the SCUD route. But if I'm gonna look at SCUDS, should I also go ahead and be looking at 599's? These cars really are a lot more money than I want to spend for a car I will be driving.

I dont think the 458's will effect the 360 CS that much..........now the 430 may be another story........... JMHO :)

If the 458 effects the 430, it's going to effect the CS. I don't think the 458 is going to hold it's value the the way the 430 did when it was first released.

For whatever reason, this week, CS sellers started calling me out of the blue again. The one car I thought was sold wasn't.

I have 35 CS's "for sale" on my list. Yours is the only recent transaction I'm showing.

Because they aren't happening. One of our Fchatters has been making offers on a large chunk of the Scuds available and the lowest he's had any dealer agree to is 228k on a 08 Red Scud Gold Wheels. Sorry that should be priced that way. Most are in the 230's and 240's for the 08's and some early 09's.

Because all of the CS owners that had to sell did. You are getting stiff armed because the remainders will sit until buyers come up. Dealers are done dropping their pants. If you want a CS you will have to drop an extra 10k to 20k that's the reality of todays market. 42 for sale right now with an average asking price of 152k..

See my above post. He's got his checkbook out and NO one is biting. If you've seen a Scud sub 200k it's been wrecked and it's a 1 off
