Hi Jason: I think Mark is referring to me. Anyone selling a scud in the United States knows of me by now i am sure and unless there is a civil conspiracy taking place, i can assure you that there are ZERO sub 200 scuds out there.

If only we had done as much due diligence with our portfolio's.

As someone who is buying first Ferrari...I find this thread more depressing than "The Biggest Loser". Lying dealers, unscrupulous buyers, wrecked and repaired classics, it all too much. My fear is that the same stories are out there for the run of the mill 360's and 430's.

What I do find is that the passion and knowledge exhibited here will certainly help those with the patience to read and understand.

If these comments out of place....my apologies to those who like to let everyone know there comments belong somewhere else.

Holy crap thats a lot of cars either way. What are you guys doing to find all these cars?!

(Not in the market for either a Scud or a CS, but rather a 612)

Conversely, I think buyers might have trouble finding sellers below $135K. :)

Like I said earlier. If the CS's on the market were selling... I'd agree with you.

I've had lot's of nice cars. Never listed one I didn't want to sell.

I've got a resource. I don't need one. I have one. Just like to follow the threads. Fchat member btw.

So it appears the cars on the market will never sell because no sellers are dropping and no buyers are rising.

Looks like it's a stalemate and all the cars should be taken off the market right now.

As I've told many people if you want a car buy one now. If the 10k or 20k difference is going to affect your lifestyle on one of these toys you can't afford the car anyway. My guess is the Principle of not Paying "too much" will keep lots of people out of these cars and lots of people out of the enjoyment of ownership.

The cars will remain for sale because the sellers just don't need to move them quickly now.
Don't rely on the 458 to move them down. It won't even make a downward blip on the CS market. It could even raise the pricing once people realize the price point of actual 458 ownership. Plus the CS looks about 100 times better than a 458.

42 is a lot, and a couple more on the way. Two more Strads about to be listed. Four others "privately" for sale. Easy to locate these cars with my special CS GPS Tracker. LOL! Just ask h2oskier.... I even know how many times his passenger door was opened last weekend on his CS. LOL!

I have to agree with this also.. I was in the mkt for several months and while offered several cars, finding an unmolested/untracked one with low miles (4k) was a process.. In my search I saw cars with some mods and mileage in the 17-30k range offered at 110k willing to sell at 100k, 12-17k mi range offered at $135-139k willing to sell just under that and a few low mi cars offered at 155-165 willing to go just below those prices.. at the end of the day, I got my low miles, clean 360CS and it will be delivered next week!

This is a great post.......I agree with it 100%. The 458 will not effect the CS market like a noted in an earlier post.
I also agree that the CS is one of the best Fcars ever made. :) Not that Im biased!

Of course, we're all sitting here waiting to see if that's true or not.

Just because I'm shopping for a CS doesn't mean I don't have other nice cars to enjoy. I'm in no rush. I want a nice car.

Honestly, I've found the car I want at the price I want. Why haven't I pulled the trigger? Because in the 2 months I've been looking, CS's have dropped a lot in asking price. Now, the 458 is right around the corner. I want to see what will happen to the CS price when the 458 comes out. I'm not as optimistic as you guys.

Also, there are already threads talking about how insanely awesome the 458 is. If it truly is that awesome, will I still want a CS? And if the the 458 doesn't effect the price of a CS, it surely will effect the price of the Scud and the 599. Maybe I'll want one of those instead.

The bottom line is, the 458 is here and I just want to see what happens. The end.

Have you driven a CS? A Scud? In my opinion, they are very different - performance, refinement, sense or rawness. The 458 promises to be more refined and yet a better performer. CS and 458? Total different. Just have to figure out what you want and get it. I wouldn't sweat $10-20k in price. You won't regret it.

I have driven the CS but not a Scud.

CS, Scud, 458, 599... They're all awesome. I'd be more than happy with any of them.

this is a bit off topic from original thread title....

but there is a huge price difference between a CS and what the 458 is gonna cost you!! Like Double. Also the chance of you gettin a 458 without paying a huge mark up is highly unlikely...Lastly, (no offense)...but if you are waiting cuz the 458 is going to be such a thrill ride...then you might want to wait for the 458's replacement, im sure it will be even better..

in any case...good luck with whatever you decide, im sure you will be happy.

    I agree.

My point is the 458 is priced where there are a lot of other very cool cars that can be had.

I'm not planning on even attempting to get a 458. The 458 is simply adding to the growing supply of unsold "very expensive" cars out there.

Not sure, but I'd definitely have a thorough PPI done. From their ad, it does appear that they're more then willing to facilitate an inspection.

The scud and the 599 are not even close to being the same car - the scud is raw, loud, and a terror on the track - just like a Ferrari should be - the 599 much more refined, beautiful, but a poor track car, even with the track up grades - you will not be happy with a front engine car on the track if you have been used to a mid engine

OK, it's back. With a Buy it Now of $99.5K (and it well sell for less than that I'm certain)

I know it has been ridden hard and put away wet, but the price is getting down to where it would be a candidate for a matte black wrap and black wheel paint. With that black leather interior it would be a cool stealth Stradale

Whoa - look at that flag! Who would do that to their CS? OK, so this car needs new paint, and 38K is the highest mileage i've seen on a CS. But it's also the lowest priced I've seen, and I am strangely tempted. I like the idea of not caring about scuffs & scrapes & running up the mileage.

When you say "ridden hard", is this a car w/ a known history of "zealous" use? Thanks!
