I have been told that the exhaust valve on the Stradale exhaust can be unplugged to bypass at the entire rpm range. Has any of the CS owner done this before. Any instructions? THANKS
I'm sure most Stradale owners have done it at one point. I unplugged mine for awhile. At first, I liked the louder growl, but then after awhile it got to be a bit too much. Its more of a low-pitch growl, rather than a high-pitched Capristo scream.
It's really very simple. All you do is pull the vacuum hoses from the line coming out of the valves. These valves are in plain sight. When you open the rear hatch, they are located on the right and left sides on the exhaust line. After you take the vacuum line out (again just twist it easy left to right and walk it off the valve line) plug the vacuum line with a screw (6-7mm) so no dirt gets sucked up into the line. Then secure the line either with a tie or place the line between other hoses to secure it. Total time is less than 5minutes-the resulting sound is great. If you get tired of it, it is easy to just replace the line back into the valves,
Done it. i did that while i was having hyperflo cat installed. so it went from stock, to hyperflo cat with valve permanantly open. but i still could not tell significant change in sound. on low rpm range it still sounds mellow like stock, over 5500rom on WOT it screams but thats what the car did in stock form anyway. so, i got a capristo level 3. thats the BEST MONEY i ever spent modifying a ferrari.
All I can tell you is that it made an enormous change in the sound on my car. It really howls now from low rpm to an absolute roar at high rpm (over 6,000).
