Recently sourced and installed a brand new Stradale/Racing exhaust to our 360. Thinking ahead to keeping the system looking box fresh going forward...

What do those with this system on their 360 or CS use for keeping the tail pipes clean. I'm conscious they're not the usual polished finish as on most exhaust systems so looking for some 1st hand experience and recommendations for keeping the factory finish looking good on the tail pipes/ tips.

Thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations folks!

Do you have a CS exhaust or a race exhaust? They are not the same. CS has a larger muffler and is valves. A race exhaust has a much smaller muffler and has no valves. Either way, I never cleaned the tips on any of my CS’s and do not clean the tips on my current race exhaust.

Ours is an OEM CS exhaust not a challenge exhaust. Here in the UK the CS exhaust is also referred to as the 'racing' exhaust which was an option from factory back in the day.

Light All purpose cleaner on a micro fiber towel will do the trick. I had my exhaust jet hot coated but left the tips. I use pinnacle exhaust paste to clean but not polish. If you had more pressure you will make them shinny. But can dull them back easily with a green scotch Brite pade.

I didn't even know they were stainless steel silver colored brand new. I always thought it was some sort of bronzed titanium finish from the get go.

Fair enough and nice acquisition! I never cleaned the tips on any of the 3 CS’s I had. I did try in the very beginning because it was what I was used to doing but it didn’t make much difference. The “rough” patina on the tips speakers to the purpose vs looks idea imo.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll opt for a light metal cleaning paste and take it easy with a microfiber cloth initially as suggested and see how I get on.

I really like the factory full finish so fingers crossed I'll find a happy medium of keeping them looking nice but not polishing them away from the current finish.
