Does anyone have this system in a 328, if so are you happy with the power if any and sound of your car. Which brand would you recommend, tubi or x-ost? I am only considering this because my catalytic converter is making a buzzing sound when it is cold, when the car reachs tempature it is fine. I also heard of some racing catalytic converters. How are these converters inregards to power and sound? I was thinking of just changing the converter and leaving the stock exhaust. Is this a good idea or not?

Thank You for your responses, it will be very helpful in my deciding which root to go.

All euro cars have no cats anyway. ie straight pipes. Italy is euro, so cats can be considered almost an aftermarket fitment compromise to the way it was designed.

Many put Tubi's etc on as well. Sounds ok, certainly better than stock silencer. Definately not too loud with a tubi and straight pipes.

Mine is running a stock exhaust with a Stebro 'resonator' test pipe in place of the cat. Sounds good, lower and louder than stock but not horribly over the top. Make sure that if you order a Stebro that you get the one with the temperature probe port, and that you use a credit card so that you can dispute the charge should they forget to ship the product to you.

Your vibration may not be the converter. It could be the heat shields, or loose hardware on the timing belt or something else. Have someone look at the car who's been working on Ferraris for a long time. Not just a mechanic. Changing the exhaust is a great idea, but may not cure your problem.
