Not my point. I am referring to craftsmanship and not the concept of the conversion. Lighten up a little. I did put this in the recreations thread.

It's still a Ferrari, and it is beautiful.

It would look better without the 70 series tires.

Guess I am too lazy to do what you did to confirm 375+ determination of the profile....lol.

For a while I had 70 series XWXs on my first GTC [long time ago]. I think there was a time when you could only get the 70 series XWXs. When I mounted the correct 205s the front right tire would rub on the heater duct when I hit a bump. Had to make some changes to the duct to fix the issue before it rubbed through.

My belated father bought a Euro [plexi-nose] Daytona in the early 80s. He sent it to Straman for the conversion. Was an amazing project that turned out beautifully. I saw the car a few years ago at Concorso Italia. I knew it was my dad's car since there was only 1 plexi authentic Daytona Spider built. Might have been the only plexi that was converted.

Things were different back in the 80s.....remember re-sale red? I am guilty of that charge w/ a 76 BB red-mist respray. Fortunately an FChat member here undid my dirty deed and restored her beautifully back to silver over black.

Sure this 275 GTB/4 conversion will be dissed by many. Nor will it be welcome at Cavallino or any other serious concours. Still....it's beautiful in my eyes.
