... only the front is, let's say, an acquired taste; the rest is as lovely as any other 3500 spyder!

The auction house says it is a 1958 model. That shows you how much research they did as the car was built in 1960.

Agree with Walter ... it is ugly; the standard production Vignale spyder is much better looking.

Salesmen is plural yet you only quoted Ivan. Were you intending to include Walter as well? ;)

PS is Carmine attending Le Belle Machinne?

ugly? I don't know, I'm willing to go with it. Maybe a little incongruous? But I love the grab handle on the center trans housing. Walter what show was this car built for? Or client? Any further changes from the standard car?

For an other crazy car check out the Datona prototype with the 275 nose attached to a Datona rear end. That car is really nuts. Chck it out below

#101.504C was the 7th Spyder made. It was completed early in 1960 and sold new to an industrialist from Genoa, Italy.

I never saw this car but from a distance I can only see this ugly front section the car got at Vignale as the only difference to the standard version. The front grille is too wide and the "horns" on the front-bumper are not helping to make the car prettier.

I have the impression that also the front pillars are higher than with the standard version.
