Next time I'm stuck in traffic in New York I'll know exactly why! cause some ****** decided that a maybach 62 was too compact for them and purchased a bus which is now blocking an intersection.......now that I think about it its kinda like Top Gear and their Limo's in the streets of London.

Eh. Probably some big money maker that likes to have his conferences on the go. It's already nice as a 62. They should've gotten the 62s. :D

It makes more sense than some things people have done to cars. Even a Maybach 62 is stll only a 4 person car. If you're a powerful person you may need 2 or 3 support staff with you at all times. Why not have the most luxurious car available stretched?

Me either. No different than a limo.

Now that's a bit much. Over twice the price to add a couple seats? Crazy.

Why not. Doesn't seem crazy to me at all. If your going to do a limo, why not start with the best platform in the first place. I'm actually suprised that Mercedes doesn't offer a limo version right from the factory.

Who the hell would pay 800K for a crappy limo? With 800K, you could make a FAR better car than a Maybach. For 800k, I'd expect nothing short of wireless access, computer, satellite TV, fridge, better seats, better lighting, more room, and a hell of a lot nice interior design. Not two extra seats with limited leg room.

I'd also expect two of them.

I don't understand why you would stretch an exotic/high-luxury car. Anything that the car was before it was modified is completely irrelevant after the fact. 800K badge is what we have here.

Any car can be stretched, so why not start with a cheap one? Better off stretching and gutting an S-class, or hell, a Lincoln.

    More money than sense.

Totally understand your point, but thinking of the level of comfort in the cars is way different. Plus, I doubt the owner cares, probably someone that no idea to do with all his money.
