    Hi All

    Is there anybody who could tell me what the string and lead type seal is around the back of the steering wheel on my 246gt?

    The lead seal is proof that export duty was paid back in 1972.

    Pretty unusual that it's still there.

    It is rare to still have this seal in place. Most were cut off during dealer prep. The seals were also used on other parts of the car, but the seal around the dash is most common. Generally they have a prancing horse with stars around it.
