I've never driven either but my keyboard warrior research would lead me to lean towards the Speciale for many reasons.

I would go for the Speciale. You can get another 488 later on.

In the middle of my around the UK road trip in my Speciale. Today I'm driving into the Highlands of Scotland. The Speciale is in its element. Fun beyond description, I couldn't care less about future values.....this little car is a giant.

Probably a typo (or British slang), but what's a "sider option"?

Depends if you can bear the huge scuttle shake on the Ferrari Spider platform. For a purist it has to be Speciale.

Found the location yesterday of James Bond's Skyfall movie. My take Speciale style! I'm sure 007 would approve ;)

Hope you find your RF spec. The Speciale is just so good.

Camlet - you are lucky having a Speciale - I have an Aperta and know that 10,000 miles on it costs me £200,000.........hence its done 900 miles. Conundrum.

I too have a UK RHD Aperta, which I did in the same spec as my coupe. A matching pair. Luckily I prefer the coupe :D

    My 2 cents worth.

I had a 458 which I loved and put a lot of miles on it. I have the 488 and the straight away speed is phenomenal but now I am thinking about getting a Speciale. 458 felt a bit more raw and driving seemed more fun and the Speciale is even more awesome as a driver.

I would definitely recommend you to drive both and see what you like. Despite the straight away speed on the 488, the Speciale might feel better to you or the newer technology and smoother 488 might be better to you!

Good luck and welcome to the Ferrari world!
