    hi guys

My bonnet is stuck down after I replaced a broken bonnet pin.

Was adjusted as far as possible towards the outside of the car when I installed the replacement, but was still a "snug" fit when I closed the bonnet. So snug that it now won't open at all.

Any ideas on how to open?

My car isn’t here right now to double check, but I think if you take off the front grill, you can reach the latching pin and release mechanism.

Good luck, and be thank full you don’t have an old Triumph, or you’d be unbolting the entire bonnet.

This happened to my 550. Killer is correct about reaching the latching pin through the grill, but the trick that worked for me was to push the hood down on the stuck latch area with force and have someone simultaneously pull the hood release from inside.

    Guys

I got in through the front, knocked the original pins free, and up she popped.

Let's just say, I am now a master of adjusting the pins for fitment. What a pita it is.
