    hi guys just back from a 2 day concours, car has been running near perfect 2 years but yesterday was engaging reverse and it got stuck and wouldnt come out, had to switch of engine and depress clutch and pull hard. any ideas before i go rushing to the mechanics, after that no problems changing gear while driving

    It may just be loose linkage. Try checking the shifter coupling under the car. Have somebody move the shifter while you look at it under the car. Make sure the shaft rotates. It is located just inboard of the parking brake cables.

    Is it hard to get any gear now Andrew? Or was it just reverse gear yesterday? A one off......:)

    If it isn't the shift cables then you may have a worn syncro.
