Hi, after replacing the battery on my 488, I’m now getting a series of faults: AVH System Failure, E-Differential, ESC System Failure, and it’s stuck in Wet mode.

I’ve left the car connected to the battery conditioner, but the issues persist. To perform a full battery reset, should I completely disconnect the battery or just use the quick-release lever?

I figured I’d check here first before making a trip to the dealer. Car drives fine with no issues.

    thanks.

I just had this corrected myself. My battery died and tossed a ton of codes that stored. Dealer just did a reset of the system and everything all good now. Took about an hour or so you should be in and out.

I believe these were the first F cars with "smart alternators" that need to have a relearn process performed by the dealer

    Good point!

Another thing that is being overlooked these days, is that the battery itself needs to be charged ( out of the car ) to 100% BEFORE being installed
Otherwise the car takes the installed battery current state of charge as 100%, even if it's actually only 60%
A new battery off the shelf is not always 100%

AS stated above make sure it is 100% and then drive it a little to see if it resets itself on the next few start-ups
