    Hi
Just got mine back from the dealership.
Mine kept going into wet mode because the break pedal light switch was faulty.

Apparently this brake pedal switch is a notorious troublemaker. My new to me '13 Spider would randomly throw up AVH failure, ABS failure, Mannetino failure, ESC failure codes and go into Wet mode. I thought it was battery. Dealer had it for other service and pulled codes and said by the way, you need a brake pedal switch because of the symptoms I mentioned. None of those failure warnings sense.

    No idea
Mine was done under warranty but I’m guessing not much if it’s just a switch.

$490 before FCA discount. They had the $65 switch in stock. 2 hours labor apparently.

Mine is a speed sensor, not covered under warranty.. $1300. Allegedly is triggering a bunch of lights, including the engine light?

Do you know where the location of that specific fuse was? Was it one of the big ones on top of the positive battery terminal??

It ended up being Fuse F40 and not a 40 Amp fuse. I posted the correction on another thread. I believe it was for the hydrolic system. Not sure where it was located.

I bought a 458 spider in May, and it would drive fine for a little bit, and then it would go into limp mode like you described with everything turning off and the car set in wet mode only.

The car had the dealer warranty, and they first looked for wiring issues and found one that might be causing it, but that ended up not fixing it. After more investigation and figuring it out how to trigger it (going over a speed bump or onramps onto the freeway seemed to do it), it ended up being a bad ABS sensor. When any of the wheels had a little bit of traction loss, the sensor would freak out and turn off all the assists in the car.

These issues are so frustrating to figure out, but I would highly recommend getting a tool to read error codes (helped me narrow down what was happening since it would sometimes start up with no errors until I was driving for a bit, and then it would just crap out).

For the 458, the MOTOPOWER MP69033 Car OBD2 Scanner Code Reader works to read codes.

I'm wondering exactly which fuse was blown in what fuse area?

Ah so perhaps fuse 40, not a 40A fuse?

F-40 is a 30amp fuse for the heated rear screen. Odd that a fuse for the heated rear screen would have this affect.

Now to find the bank of fuses containing fuse F-40. The manual says it is located on the driver's side dash in the bank called Body Computer fuses and replays. I looked in this area and could not find it. Fuses are suppose to be serviceable.
