So my 2010 California's roof is sticking when opening. Happens about 6 seconds after it starts to open. Problem is solved when I add upward pressure to the window panel of the roof. Does anyone else have this problem? Other than that I love this car.

You might check behind the access panel in the trunk (opposite side from the battery charger port) that there isn't any hydraulic fluid leak there.

I seem to remember having this problem once with my 2011 . I recharged the battery and it never did it again. I also recall owners reporting a leaking roof hydraulic cylinder that apparently is fairly common and east to fix. I would try hooking up the battery charger to it for a day or so then see if it is fixed if not you might need a new battery also search this forum of leaking roof hydraulic cylinder. I do recall someone reporting having that problem and the roof slammed down and dented it.. so be careful....
hope this is of some help..the other choice is to take it to the dealer as there are some checks they can do

Avoid any sudden movements to the roof because that can cause it to bounce and if it bounces while in certain positions, the main (top) panel can make contact with the panel that is stacked below it... causing a dent(s).

The roof mechanism must operate smoothly and progressively while in perfect alignment. Any "sticking" of the mechanism will cause a sudden jerk when the mechanism subsequently unbinds and this can cause a dent as the panel "overshoots" on the rebound and protruding parts make contact with the panel below.

I suggest you take it to the dealer or at least have a qualified Fcar mechanic work on it. Don't try to fudge it on your own. The Webasto roof mechanism is quite a complicated item.

I had the same problem. It was the sensors. DON'T force it!
