Got a beach house in West Yarmouth for a week starting next Saturday and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for things to do or see. Our three little ones will be there (8mos, 2 and 4), but we'll also have the ability to break free for a night or two alone with visiting family members that are always willing to watch the boys. So, I'm looking for 'best kept secret' kind of places for either families or couples. Anyone got any suggestions for food, entertainment, a favorite beach, park, anything? We're willing to put a few on the odometer for something good.....

Think I may hit the Hyannis Father's day car show, looks like it has a good turnout.

    Thanks in advance, Kevin

If you really want to put some miles on the odo :) - come to Hartford, CT, for the Concorso. Check out the FCA/NER website for more details, but basically, 100+ Ferraris, raising $100k+ for children's charity. What's a better way to spend Father's Day?

    a couple suggestions:

    (1) make sure you hit the West Dennis beach at low tide. you can walk out forever - it's a blast for kids - tons of cool tidal pools with really neat stuff. my fave beach on the cape (fwiw).

    (2) Sundae School is a fun ice cream place the kids will dig - i think it's in Dennisport (other side of Bass River from Yarmouth).

    enjoy!

Baxters Boat House on Hyannis Harbor is a fun lunch spot for casual seafood dining. In the evenings they have a piano player later in the week, I believe. It's been a while since we were there.

Lots of mini-golf courses along rte 28, and there's a great club in Wellfleet called the Beachcomber (it's off Cahoon Hollow Rd.). Great place to be silly for a few hours.
