So I ended up in Vienna for a few days, and was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do aside from the activities in the guide books such as Schonbrunn, Albertina, Rathaus, etc. (Theres probably more combined knowledge here than in any guidebook anyway) Additionally, any input for Budapest would be appreciated as well, since that is my next destination.

if you have enough time, I suggest you go to Slazburg, and go to the salt mines. But that is pretty far away.

Ok this is my last one I promise. Things just keep coming to mind. You should do what my father and I or my brother and I do. Just wander around the city. basically get lost. Vienna has beautiful buildings and such.

If weather permits, do the citybike thing! It's an amazing way to get lost and see the city!

Go to Hooters and have some wings. Then go around the corner to the Cabaret for dessert ;-)
