Stunning F355 Spider...

Wow in America cars are cheap in the Uk that would be around GBP45K .I think it is slightly garish with that Challenge grill on the back, but apart from that it is very good, the interior is top notch.

 

Here's one I like for the money (it's a '95 and with "higher" mileage)- if you could confirm the 15K was recently done (i.e. not done 5 years ago ) My wife doesn't like the color on the 355 as much, but I think it's quite nice- especially with the shields.

This same car was offered last fall. There was a thread about it. Most people thought it was blinged out. I thought it was nice except for the grill.

They are both sweet. I just wish Ferrari would start desiging their modern 8's more like this again.

 

Each to their own but personally I think that's hideous. It looks like a tricked up Toyota MR2. It's not even bling, it's just insulting. Again, just my personal opinion...

 

I really liked the chomed out rims...I think that looks great. To me, chrome rims alway look good on a black car.

However, I don't like the rear grille; it just doesn't look right.

FYI to potential owners:

Regardless of the opinions this car is in terrible mechanical condition. Steve R put that car through a PPI and it failed for bad cylinder head compression and leak down. The car needs valve guides with the left back (if I recall) smoking like a chimney on acceleration.

IMHO...I like the chrome wheels but the Tan Top and Chrome Challenge grill have to go for me....yuk !!!

The 15k service was done on October 12 2002 with 18,150 miles.

Today on January 19 2005 it has 18,465 miles

That is 315 miles in 27 months. Or 11.66 miles a month. You can say what you want about Ferrari owners. But who is NOT gonna go for a fun drive or two????

 

The Speedlines look good....but not in chrome for gawd's sake.......and the chromed Challenge grill is garish to say the least.

I kinda like the idea of the grill. A polished rear grill (not chromed) would look pretty cool, but I would have only polished the bottom half (not the top portion under lip trunk lip). Cool idea, but the chrome wheels are a little much.

 

Does anybody here watch Newlyweds on MTV w/ Jessica Simpson (not that I do either, the wife does)?? Isn't that the 355 that she rented for Nick on Valentines Day? If so, I would definitely believe that it's a pos, he seemed to have a little trouble driving it at times, and he was on camera! If that was a rental, imagine what people do to it when they're alone?!
