    Why do the cowboy's always stop their horses and check to see if their guns have any ammunition when they are about twenty feet away from a bunch of angry Indian's? I'm watching Desperado on AMC and I watched a scene like this. It reminded me of other western's in which the cowboys do the same thing!

    How many other dumb things like this have I missed in years of watching western's?

    Blazing Saddles:

    Funnyest scene? When Slim Pickens tried to get the workers to sing Camptown Ladies. What's your favorite from that movie and has anyone ever seen Evil Roy Slade?

    what i dont get is in almost every western theres a poker seen in a saloon. these cowbows are supposed to be far from rich and the guys playing poker are always beaten up looking, but yet there betting hundreds of dollars each game.

    im guessing, ive seen pics of naked chicks from the early 1900's and they look like they have a frigin afro going on. ican only imagine what was happening in the 1800's. do you have proof of cowgirls shaving down ????

    REAL cowboys then, always left one cylinder empty in their 6-shooters while holstered on their belts.

    The reason being, if somehow, they accidently "fanned" the hammer or it snagged, they didn't want the hammer coming down on a ready-to-go cartridge.

    There are just so many...

    -Cleavon Little (Bart) hits Slim Pickens (Taggart) with the shovel after the quicksand: "Send a wire to the main office and tell them that I said <boink> Owwww"

    -The campfire scene where Alex Karras (Mongo) is introduced.

    -The flashback where Mel Brooks is the Indian Chief speaking German.

    -Madeline Kahn singing "I'm Tired."

    -The scene where the mugs, pugs, thugs, half-wits, dim-wits, hornswagglers, bushwhackers, cattle rustlers, Mexican bandits, et al are signing up to ransack Rock Ridge.

    -The toll road and fake town.

    But my favorite
    Cleavon Little takes himself hostage and orders the citizens to drop their weapons or he will kill himself (when they were going to shoot him anyway)
