    That line from Forrest Gump is very apt today in Ferrari circles. On Saturday I joined a friend and his 330 America for a drive down 95 to Bridgeport, CT to the Blackhorse Garage open house. My friend was behind me as we were headed to a rest stop for a latte along the way. He said some fool was driving by in the passing lane talking and taking pictures or a movie on his cell phone when he ran into someone. No injuries we presume. Coming back from the event I was trailing my friend in the middle lane outside New Haven and as we came over a rise the traffic ahead had slowed to a crawl in the same spot it usually does every weekend. A guy in the passing lane pararllel to me was looking at my friends car, talking on his cell phone, left arm draped over the steering wheel, oblivious to his surroundings.....and plowed into an SUV that was stopped for traffic with a women and kids inside. It was if it happened in slow motion. The guy had plenty of room to stop but his mind and senses were elsewhere. Fortunately it looked as if all parties were ok. If I had been able to puill over I would have dragged him out of his car and beat him silly...and gladly taken the jail time. Imagine, an old car gives rise to 2 accidents in a 3 hour time span. Now I know why I distrust prople who have never been to a proper driving school.

    For all you spotters: we don't mind the attention, but please keep your eyes on the road ahead of you and take pictures only when you have a clear opportunity to do so.

    +1000 Sam. I find driving to be far more challenging when I'm in the FCar. So many more obstacles to be aware of. Its just another reason to find alternate NON highway routes to your destination.

    Yeah, that's where you get farmers waving pitchforks at you (hit with that a couple of years ago!). Unfortunately time did not allow us to ramble through the countryside.

    whenever im driving and see any sort of exotic i always give them a little extra space. and im not one of those take out the camera phone to try to record it, thats just asking for trouble. its so much cheaper to just be careful and enjoy the sight of an exotic on the road then having to foot repair bills for a car

    The idiots were definitely out that day. I was caught in that same traffic but was able to take the Merritt Pkwy back home. A few people wanted to do the same but were beyond the exit ramp. What did they do? Put it in reverse of course.

    Pales in comparison from your adventure Sam, but these people must be cut from the same cloth.

    i have a setup for while driving i put the camera on mini tripod on a pole attached to the headrest and record what ever happens in front of my automobile

    I live on a main street and I've had 5 accidents in front of mi house from people looking . Mi local have told me to keep mi car covered or in the garage.


    It's not that serious people!

    lol, I was just going to say, sit in front of the dealership. It's at least one a week.

    I don't know how FoNE doesn't have a train of accidents daily.

    Im a car spotter, but that is ridiculous. I would never be so stupid as to try to take a picture while I was driving. Obviously those men are both stupid and deserve everything they got. Too bad innocent civilians had to suffer too.
