no. the door key should be the small key... i think. the same key that opens the louvers on the GTS and the small console compartment . my cars are all sold for now so i have nothing to look at ! i swear the ignition key did not fit the doors. hope it helps.

by the way,,, they will move this thread to "classic" as it doesnt belong in "vintage".

    just so ya know....

this is no help but it's just reminded me of an annoyance I have with this two key nonsense: I have both keys on the same fob (like most people do I'd imagine) when the key is in the ignition and the car is running I can't open the glove compartment as it's permanently locked and will only open with the door key. hrmph.

You will need to pull the ignition to get an ignition key made and pull the lock cylinder to get a door key made. They are not the same as stated above. The door key is much smaller than the ignition key. You probably can pull the lock out of the storage compartment to get a door key made. You won't be able to use the louver lock to get a key made because you don't have louvers. :)

    Good luck,
    John
P.S. Check Ebay for key blanks. Jag Garage sells complete sets of blanks for $20.00.

I got replacement keys for my 1977 and 1979 308's cut by the local locksmith for $3.50 CAD each including the cost of the blanks...........which he had in stock.........FWIW it would have cost $50 to cut one from the cylinder IIRC........one of the cheapest things I had to pay for on the car actually !!

I'll chime in and just repost that what has been posted is correct...big key ignition....little key door...they're different cylinders.

I have had several companies match up key blanks I have the Taylor and Ilco numbers at home.....

Pulling the ignition switch is a huge PITA, but doable, I lost a full set once!

Be very careful with it as the locking rod/switch assemby is No LOnger Available and is quite pricey for a scrap one........

FWIW: I had replacements cut by a local locksmith, blanks are from SILCA, Italy:

    Small key for door-lock is blank-no."AF 4D"
Larger key for ignition is blank-no. "NE 9A"

Mind you, these are for 328, but they look identical to just about any key of that period I've seen here.

    Good luck!

Just a heads up. I had a local locksmith try making a key for a extra lock assembly I have and he broke the electrical switch assembly part on the back of the lock but could not make a key. I found a place who can make a new key, but I still want to find a switch before I invest any more $$$$. Make sure whoever makes a key can guarantee that they can do a Ferrari. Yje lock box in the console is the same as the door key, saving taking the door apart.
