    Hey all:

Are all Mondials compliant with California emissions?

My car has the California emission plates in the engine bay. That said, I don't know that it is from California. The missing link in the history of my '87 is the first owner, who kept the car for only a short time. It is rumored that he was an Idaho potato farmer of sorts. That makes me think that Portland would have had the closest dealer, followed by Seattle, although I suppose it would have been a nice trip to Cali to pick up the new Ferrari.

Or was it just simpler to make all of them California cars, given that a measurable percentage were going to be sold there anyway?

    Thanks for any thoughts..

    Peter

Judging from the official Ferrari Mondial parts book that there are no different parts listed for USA cars that are specific for California, I believe that they were 50-state cars.

    Photos, please!!

Thanks for the response. Someday I'll post photos to the Mondial registry--right now I'm spending my free time replacing the @#&! heater valve.
