    Probably a stupid question, but I just bought a F355 (gated), and it will only start with the key while at the same time pushing a small button on the keyfob, is that stock? I had a 355 many years ago, but I don't recall having that issue.
    Is there a way to bypass the keyfob and start the car with just the key?

    You dont have to hold the button down. Just push it and disarm the immobilizer (two beeps and the flashing led on the center vents goes off). Then turn the key and start the car.

    Getting rid of the immobilizer is a topic with many threads on here.

    Keep a new battery for your fob in the car and change it regularly and the system has worked fine for me.

    The FOB can lock/unlock the doors as well as disable the immobilizer. If the doors are unlock, you won't hear and beeps but take note to the LED in the center of the middle dash vent.
