I am so glad I exposed myself to stupid risks in youth, as it forms the foundation for great memories now...

It is the stupid, risky, assinine stuff you remember decades later...

    My stupidest, most wonderful moments:

    1) Driving my Ninja 900 in Chicago's first snow fall of the year, on Lake Shore Drive, to get to my friends for the weekend... It wasn't snowing when I started... Half way through the voyage, I was committed :). 15 years later, I can't believe how stupid that was...

    2) Driving with my the girlfriend, on the same Ninja, in a thunderstorm... popping a wheelie... :)

    3) Wonderful evenings spent in the back seat of a caddy... on a lake... getting... uhm... oral uhm... sometin'.... Cop knocks on the window, "What the hell are you kids doing out here!? I should arrest you?!"

-Doing flips off off a roof onto a trampoline. Problem is it was with my friends that were 4 years younger than me. I should have been the responsible one.

-Jumping dirt tracks kids built in the neighborhood without helmets. I only remember crashing a handful of times though.

-Driving 65mph through the neighborhood. Big time idiot! Definitely not proud of that.

-Probably the dumbest thing ever was drinking beer at lunch in 7th grade everyday for a week. Lunch was at 10:30am. lmao!

Flew a 194o's era Ercoupe over my high school graduation (it was outdoors).
Buzzed the field, did some stall recoveries while my brother tossed toilet paper rolls out the cockpit.

I thought is was much fun, right up until the time they suspended my pilot license for six months.

I became much older and wiser after that momemntary lapse of judgment.

Letting 2 of my friends pee on me after I got stung by a jellyfish 4 years ago.

I found out only last month that urine doesn't do a damn thing to neutralise jellyfish stings according to wikipedia :( :(

Yep.... we had the big diamond back rattlers (they looked 6 feet long when I was 9 years old)... we'd catch them in Gopher Tortoise dens. Back when Florida had huge tracks of undeveloped land behind our housing development.

One time hunting (we usually never had a gun with us)... my friends older brother shot a large diamond back and we walked home with it draped around our neck.

When we got home and dropped it on the ground. It crawled away... I guess we just stunned it (yikes)

We'd spend the days catching turtles, gators, snakes, bugs, and then we'd go to the beach and chase everything in the ocean (99% was catch and release)

I remember putting vodka in water bottles, bringing it to High School, drinking it in class and leaving class to smoke cigarettes in the restroom.

Not necessarily proud of those things, but it's funny to think I was so bold and didn't care. I was pretty wild, so I know there are plenty of things I'm forgetting.

    Greetings from Sunny Australia

Still living my youth, apparently we never grow up

Its a miracle I survived but one that sits in my memory

pulled up to traffic lights (OVER 20 YEARS AGO) after a heavy night at the Pub. stopped fogot to put my feet down, did I mention i was on my GSXR and proceeded to fall over, unfortunately, police car on the otherside of the traffic lights.

Bingo insert on pineapple!! By the way DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE

I guess that's why I never made it in the league..........................................

when I was a kid growing up there was a huuuuuge hill, actually it was more like a small mountain/large hill. We used to push our bikes up to the top and ride down the steep side and see how fast we could get up to. It was bumpy grass and we must have been hitting 60+ easy. No helmets, just shorts.

There was an old chalk mine near my house - it had a railway line going into it. It started at ground height but over the course of maybe a couple hundred yards the rail line cut deeper and deeper into the earth then it went into the mine - the walls where the mine entrance was were probably 40-50 feet high. We tied a rope to a tree on the edge of the wall and tied a knot in the bottom and we'd run, jump and grab the rope and swing on it. If you didn't let go on the back-swing you'd get stuck hanging in mid air and your friends would need to throw you another rope to pull you back. A couple kids fell and broke arms, legs. Cops would come and remove the rope, but we'd put it back up constantly.

We used to put a piece of wood up on a block to form a ramp, then we'd get a few younger kids to lie down on the other side and we'd jump them on our bikes - like Evil Knievel. I shudder to think what would happen if we landed on one of those kids with a bike going 20mph.

We'd have bottle rocket wars... steal them from whoever's parents had bought them for July 4th and go into a field with some pieces of metal tubing and launch them at each other. we'd also have rock fights, whipping rocks at each other.

I can't believe I am still alive and free from incarceration.

I rigged a time delay fuse to a 20 gauge shot gun shell and blew it off in a locker in high school. I took the lead out of the shell first and replaced it with confetti. The weird thing was, not one person noticed it.

I once drove over a bridge hump on the highway at 150mph in my 911 cabriolet (with the top down) and got some big air time. I came off the seat also, so the only thing I was holding on to was the steering wheel.
Um, yeah, I think it's time to slow down.
I am lucky to be alive. Thank you God. I have never gone that fast again on the road.

I raced a Vette with my Alfa Romeo Berlina out side of Valley Forge Park. The vette passed me then went straight off the road over a guard rail and into a creek. I pulled my car over and went into the creek. The driver was not in very good shape there was blood everywhere. It took forever for the cops and ambulance to get there. No cell phones back in the 70's. No air bags either. Never raced on the streets again. I have no idea what happened to the driver.

Very stupid and not fond of it. About the dummest thing I have done.

Thanks for the comment and I agree completely, but I am not going to pass it on to him. LOL!

There's no sense encouraging him to outdo each and every stunt.

I threatened to cut down the tree after he did a single, and now he is throwing doubles and has enough hang time for a triple easily.

When i was 11 I got a quad for my birthday, did some stupid stuff with that thing (my parents regretted it from the day they got it for me. thought I wasn't a nutjob driving on two wheels 90% on the time, and ripping the limiter of the day I got it:D).

Drove it on a thin ice lake spinning it endless times around (11 was the record, on the middle of a fairly deep lake).

Had an old BMX bike, all rusty and stuff and me and my friends got the idea of jumping it over a 5 foot high jump, seeing who could go the furthest. Then I got the brilliant idea of having a friend driving my quad and towing me on the bike. Bike snapped on landing and missed my balls my about half an inch. Could hardly walk afterwards but atleast my DNA spreaders are still intact!

Jumping my dads 7 series over a bridge at 120mph. Nothing really happened but the chassis did hit the asphalt upon landing.

Doing absolutely stupid speeds on a dark wet B-road (single lane each way) (140+) in said 7 series with a friend of mine sitting next to me. Could have ended badly looking back on it as at one point a very long left hander I greatly under estimated (my friend thought it was a short left kink, he drove there more often) I pretty much hit the apex (luck of course) and was right on the edge exiting the corner. So happy there wasn't a car round that corner!

Wrecked 2 cars in the same night, driving in a snowstorm to see my girlfriend. My buddy crashed his, we limped home to get mine, then crashed it.

The same winter, I spun a '74 International Travelall (the size of a Suburban) 2 full 360's on a 2 lane bridge at 50mph. I hit nothing, and when the spin was over I was pointing the same direction I started in, only lost about 15mph in speed.

Another winter, same Travelall, going over Monarch Pass in CO. Snowing hard. Had the truck in 4 wheel drive, came around a corner and the a$$ end swung out. My genius deduction indicated that the front wheels were also 'pulling' and would easily pull me out of the slide. Hit the gas. Oops. Ended up stuck in the snow bank on the side of the road, overlooking a 60 foot drop. Thank god for the snow bank.
