Hmm, thats a tough one for me. I've always loved the NSX. Love the way it looks, same design for over 14 years. Fun to drive, reliable.
I've also loved the 348 spider. There is just something about a Ferrari that an NSX doesn't have. That is why I bought a 348 Spider when the time came. I considered owning an NSX but decided against it. I would like to have an NSX in my garage some day. I was actually just looking at them yesterday.

I was in that situation - it was either a 348 or an NSX, and I went for the 348. Perhaps one day I will add an NSX as I have always liked them.

I've owned both, and driven both relatively hard... :) And came from an NSX to my 348 spider.

NSX is prettier when comparing hard tops to hard tops. but the 348 with the top down to me is much prettier.

Both have their pros and cons, and it kills me when comparisons are made by people that have only owned one of them, or in some cases neither of them...

Gratuitous shots of the two best cars I have ever owned... :D

When I was thinking of getting a car, I didn't even consider NSx.

Mychoice was noble, esprit, boxster (yes... I know :D) and 348.

I do like nsx though. Would get one over a 355 everytime. lol

had a nsx..wanted black but settled on red with black roof as I'm obsessive/compulsive to a fault and wanted one right away...fantastic car..but...was going down the road one day and saw one coming and gave the thumbs up out the window only to discover it was a camaro with the same red/black...immediately went home and listed it on cars.com----wife asked what the h*ll I was doing selling so quickly...I said "it's red and looks like a camaro!" she said " didn't you know it was red when you bought it??" LOL

    couldn't make that mistake with a 348....

1994 nsx and 1993 or so camaro with exact same treatment (red/black) IMHO yes they do a bit--from the front-not saying exactly......
nothing exotic about a nsx--although great car, just not that exciting to look at..

I would have to give the nod to the NSX over the Camaro, by quite a margin. But, the NSX lacks the grace of almost any Italian car.

no question Jon..I personally don't care for anything American, except my '59 vette, thought about painting the top red to match and that would have been much better..it was a great car, no issues except horrible bolster wear and 4-5k miles on rear tires....great sound, felt like a go-cart, ice cold a/c, etc....again, the look was from a distance at speed...anyway, you can put 100k miles on them with no issues and still sell it for a decent price...like a Toyota.

The proportions of both cars are completely different, just because Car and Driver did that terrible assumption that the "looks can be mistaken" after the Camaro came in 94 with the same color scheme as the 91 nsx's .... sorry but, only a 80 year old grandma will think they look similar .. I love 348 style btw ..

You are entitled to think that they look almost the same and NSX's are not "exotic" looking ...

ok, I was a little harsh....yours does look awesome in all red..didn't realize car and driver had said anything--anyway..might still have mine if it was black/black or black/tan..probably the best sports car buy out there at $30k or so--and they'll outlast most of us...especially my grandmother LOL....I hereby retract my "not exotic looking" statement..

The NSX just always looked odd to me; it looks like when they got to the point of styling the back of the car they ran out of inspiration. It just looks too long in the back, as if they didn't have room for that massive v6... :)

........ ....... Sy ............ the noble is 'bland'........ the esprit looks like a first graders design, all 'straight lines' ............. and the boxster ....... well is 'just a cute car' ..............

Sy, you should resign as a member of the brotherhood for disgraceful taste!!! Even though you tried to shroud your selections in 'humor' ........ your flawed judgement has clearly shown through ........ :(

Sorry, I sounded a bit harsh, It was like 2am and still was stuck on a project (work) and I was venting lol ..

Yeah, NSX's are not the most "perfect" cars ever made, a 97-05 will take 4.5 to 60 and 12.8-13 @ the 1/4 mile, 172mph top speed ... which @ today standards it's not actually "super" anymore ....

About the "styling" it has been almost 20 years later and although the tail is a bit to long and lean (Honda I think had to extend 3 inches in the rear due more room for the V6) still looking @ today PIG cars -the Italia FINALLY is going back to lean long design- the NSX looks so much "proper" sports car than most cars .. is very low, has a great visibility and handles fantastic +, they are going to be on the "classic class" due it's age soon soon!

It is indeed a car that is not for "everyone" .. one think for sure, Honda will NEVER do anything like this again .. for me, a Italia or the Mclaren P11 are the way to go, in 10 years they will be somehow in reach :) ....

    Cheers!
