Which one do you prefer?
i am a boxer guy but i love them both. while i chose the box for the poll, i would prefer a tr in favor of any 355, 360, or 430...hands down. i hope this thread will not be a "basher" thread but...it has been known to happen.
Boxer for its sheer elegance and simplicity of design. But then again the TR is wonderfully aggressive as well particularly in in the 512TR mode
To close to call. depends on my mood. I suppose if I could be given one platinum category car today I would choose the Boxer...
Obviously, I prefer the Boxer. Only until I saw the Slutmobile, and its silver racing sibling, did I appreciate the TR. I think its that cheese grater thing I do not like. But I sure would not mind having a M.
Voted Boxer, although it's a very close call. Both are great-looking cars. The Boxer nose is far more dramatic. The TR rear view is iconic and much cleaner. From the sides, I slightly favor the Boxer -- the flow over fender line and the rear flares looks muscular and natural. Do we get a car if we answer this correctly?
you get to drive a boxer if you and i are able to co-ordinate our nc trips! i am actually at lake norman as i write and must say...the boxer was running great last saturday!!! pcb
I'm in San Diego battling the great freeze of '07. Temps in the mid 30s. Where's my FEMA money? I need cold weather tires for the 328 and the government is nowhere to be found...
I think it's no comparison. You might be able to convince me that the TR is a better, more practical car (that's what my brother, who owned a TR for about 15 years, keeps telling me), but on looks alone it's the BB all the way.
I have to confess that, I too, prefer the Boxer coachwork -- but the ride height has to come down to something more modern (but I don't fault F/PF for this -- in those days the rules were different). I'd bet the farm though, that in a general public popularity contest, the TR would win by a landslide.
Boxer over testa with the 512TR it is a pretty good match to me and Boxer over 512M: i hate the 512M front (wrong lights proportions and position )
i voted for the testarossa, one of the best looking ferraris ever built, right next to the 308 GTB. the boxer is ok, but it looks like a big 308. i know the boxer came first, but i guess i'm 308-centric. john
Boxer, hands down. Classic, sensual lines, but still ominous and aggressive. Italian, iconic styling at its best. Given only those choices, I'd have to go with Alba. The thought of Anna Nicole brings me too close to puking on my keyboard. That, and the "thrashed like a rental car, by so many" aspect. Throw Kate Beckinsale in there, and . . . . . . . . . < excuses self for five minutes > 8^P
I had to make the choice when I bought my car. Both were at the same price level at the time. The Boxer is a better investment. It looks like a Hot Wheel...so perfect in it's timeless design. The stock TR is dramatic -maybe too dramatic. Which is why I got rid of cheese graters...to clean it up. Of course, I loved the wide rear end. But the real reason that I chose the TR is because I wanted to drive a mid-engine 12 cylinder Ferrari without too many worries. They made lots of TR's and mine is pretty darn reliable. Also, I was told that there were issues with Boxers' cabin heat and emissions(California resident). I thought that I had made the relatively practical choice. Now I've added a Koenig body kit and the car's in Texas for turbo treatment. Maybe I should have just bought a Boxer. hahaha Oh, and I would take Jessica Alba for sure
Sorry, but a boxer looks like a 308 on roids. The tr is radical, but a more unique style than the boxer. Boxer looks like they couldn't figure out what to do with the 12, so they add roids to the 308. Sorry boys, i like the boxer, but the tr has more sex appeal
they are both gorgeous, I really should get a 512BBi in my collection For me the 512TR is just a little nicer
Ironically, the Boxer was the predecessor to the 308! So if anything, the 308 was derived from the Boxer, not the other way around.
And they're both descended from the Dino 206, in terms of design, I believe. Pininfarina really had it going back then.
