Yes, the four rear bolts had the nuts attached, but left loose. This lined up the sub-frame correctly so when the car was lowered, the flanges on the front of the sub-frame lined right up with the frame. The correct term is stooges if you don't mind! Not all of us have the ceiling height in our garages for a two post lift, so we have to get creative.
My stooges, ah helpers, when the engine came out on 2 furniture dollies, 2 jacks, and a 4 post lift (heaven sent). One hole was previously stripped (not by me) and I just fixed it today with a helicoil. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Notice the slant of your driveway, there hoss. Must be real fun chasing the engine dolly down the street.
That is what the ... stooges are for. Not too bad though once you get them on the bottle jacks. 2 floor jacks 2 6-inch bottle jacks 2 8-inch bottle jacks 1 ATV 1500-lbs jacks 1 4-post lift 10 18 inch long 4x4 2 1000-lb furniture dollies 1 1500-lb furniture dolly 1 2000-lb engine crane I now have more jacks than cars.
Thanks Tim and Tony for the prints and pics i may use a motor cycle lift and weld out riggers on base to keep from tipping over when i remove my engine, what do think?
