    I've noticed this during Speed TVs F1 coverage, and am curious if anyone knows the conditions which would cause it to happen? I guess ticket sales, but wonder if there is more to it.

    I hope it never happens of course.

    Cheers,
    Jon

    i think it has to do with proximity to the event.

    The Canadian GP was blocked for me. {N.S.}
    Probably has to do with rights you are given to broadcast the event.
    "You can show this race for 15M, but we want people to goto the race, so you will have a radius of 150 miles blacked out." < Or something like it.

    Thanks guys. I was just curious - hate to miss a race and not know why. There is no doubt I'll be at the San Francisco F1 race when it happens!

    Cheers,

    Seems to me I have seen this on many programs on Speed and I too have wondered why. The ticket thing I get, but what about the other Speed stuff?
