Thanks to Fchatter AntonyR, I am pleased to announce that Ricambi will now offer promotions via a mobile marketing tool "QPON". It is incredibly simple... just send the text message "Ferrari" to 63278, and you'll be subscribed.

Then, when we're ready to blast a promotion it'll be sent automagically to your phone with full details. If you have a smartphone, the message will include clickable links and contact information. If not, just pick up your phone and give us a ring. The promotions will REQUIRE you to use special coupon codes that arrive in the text message itself. If I have configured the system correctly, our blasts will go on Thursday mornings, around 9:00am. I suppose if I've done it wrong, you'll get an annoying message at 2 in the morning!! Just kidding.

I'm not super technical (heck, Mike just showed me how to use MySpace, and my blogs are pretty lame)... but this should be a cool new way to connect with customers.

Our first blast will come out on THURSDAY morning. It is already loaded and scheduled, but since it is the first one, I've kinda crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Once we get a feel for how the system works, we'll be able to do more creative offerings through the QPON. When it arrives in your PDA/cellphone, there will be an offering, a web-link, coupon code, and of course telephone contacts.

I tried it on my iPhone, and I can 'click' directly on the SMS link and it opens a page on the Ricambi America website for purchases. I also tried 'clicking' the embedded phone number in the message, and it dials our main number automagically. The important part (whether you use the website or telephone us) will be to use the QPON code which appears in your text message.

I have loaded weekly blasts (THURSDAY mornings) for the next 6 weeks, including Thanksgiving day. I'm trying to focus on the "fun stuff" that can be used in just about any Ferrari, regardless of model. Keep your phones nearby, and save some bucks.

Oh, I didn't quite understand your question. I really don't know what the back-end is running on... I wanted to support a long-time Fchat colleague, and try to bring a different marketing angle into our business.
