Hi all, i'm using an iMac, which has VLC player. My question is, sometimes when i download certain series or movies, there is a subtitle folder. How do u enable subtitle? I've tried some ways, but in vain. Thanks in advance!
Usually the downloaded movies don't have it. It's for when you have the DVD in. If you really need to subtitles, you most likely will have to download an extra file. Others, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not a big computer person, plus I don't have a Mac.
Right click on the video you are playing in VLC and there is a big menu and there is an option like "Subtitle track" or something similar and it should be in there. Never used a Mac though, but thats how you do it on windows
Good choice IMHO. However, whilst VLC is a *very* nice piece of S/W, it wouldn't be my default player of choice on your iMac: QT + Flip4mac (for those pesky WMV files) would be my "recommendation" (FWIW) In QT, subtitle dislay will become apparent. Good luck, Cheers, Ian
FWIW, Subtitle option for Windows (maybe it's the same) is: Video-->Subtitles Track, then: -Disable -Track 1 At least that's how it is for me when watching Initial D.
Are the subtitles in a sub folder? If so, try copying the subtitle folders to the same folder as the movie file then try playing the movie.
