Suggestions installing CF door sill plates?

    Picked up a set of carbon fiber door opening sill plates (portion with Ferrrari name indented) and figured I asked if anyone has replaced a set on their 430?
    It appears as though the B-pillar/door striker panel has to be removed as well as a portion of the weatherstripping on the body.
    Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

    you don't have to remove it, simply loose two screws that hold sills, lift the rubber and pull sill from the front side up.It will automatically slide out from the door striker pannel.
    It's a 5 minutes easy job and you will find lots of dirt underneath if you dod not remove them before.

    Hi I have the carbon sill plates on my F430. They were factory fit from new, but where the carpet joins the bottom of the sill plate there is a small gap. This runs along the bottom of the whole sill plate and its really annoying as you can see a little bit of the floor. Has anyone else got this on their car ?? If the sill plates come of this easily then I might take one off to see if the carpet exists behind the sill plate or maybe the carpet has to be cut to get the sill plate to fit ??
