Hi guys I'm thinking of fitting aftermarket exhaust on my TR. Any suggestions as to what brands to fit???? Checked the Capristo website but they never tell you how much they are charging. Went to Verdi website and it says £1595 for a sports exhaust but never say what make. Anyway, its too far for me to bring the car down. Imagine driving from Aberdeen down to London....... Anyone give me ideas as to how much is it going to cost me......cheers Al
Steve F 512M has a loud Fuchs exhaust. Sounds Awesome.. Had one my 348 GTS that I had and it sounded awesome as well.
stevef's exhaust gets lots of praise. And I can vouch for AndyH's on his 512TR. PM them both, I'm sure they'll tell you how much. Won;t be cheap though - that's what you get for having a proper Ferrari with 12 in the rear, eh steve?

I was lucky Al, I got it second hand off of 'The Don' from here on fchat. Picked it up from Verdi's who were fitting his new Capristo. The only problem I had were with the brackets that came with it, they didn't fit mine so I had to 'adjust' them, his was an 87 I think and mines a 90, possibly a different fit. I don't know how long he takes to supply you never know he might have one in? It's pretty loud tho and I love it but I can see where it's not to everyones taste Its easy to fit if you don't mind doing those kinda jobs, just take off the bottom vallance and the bumper and rear grille undo all the exhaust bolts and the exhaust comes out from below or they will fit it for you I think at no extra cost.
Si SO is the under £900 you mentioned first hand price from the shops or second hand price that you paid for????? ANyway, loud is good!!!!!!! Loud is BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Speak soon Al
Just an update. Got in touch with Don from Stainless-exhaust and he quoted me £780+vat +£20 delivery. Not bad eh....will keep you guys posted. Si : Any chance of a pics for your exhaust???? CHeers Al
Having heard SteveFs capristo on His TR I would certainly recommend it no idea how much it cost but am sure He will let You know.
STEVEF, Are you crazy! Your Fuchs kicks the **** out of a Capristo on a 512. I've heard the Capristo on a 512TR and I thought it sounded like a loud, rattling uncontrolled racket, enough to me a headache IMO. Just concentrate on fitting cat replacement pipes to your car and you're laughing.
If you want to make a clip I'm based near you I believe, so next time you're near the Peterborough town centre I can do a quick MPEG with my digicam.
