One essential for a skiing trip is roof bars on your car, otherwise you have no chance of getting 4 of you on the trip On the Porsche Panamera (sorry to blaspheme on here) you can fit them, does anyone know if Ferrari have plans to allow the FF to live up to snow-sure image and accept roof bars too? I have ordered one, I visit the factory tomorrow to spec one, so will ask the question there too. But if anyone's been down this road already I'd be interested to know what response you got. Thanks
I have a Yakima magnetic roof-top ski holder that works extremely well. I used one for years, and even in the worst ice/slush/snow accumulations, it held very securely. It is kind of like this: http://www.orsracksdirect.com/inno-mv276-magnetic-ski-rack.html I can't seem to find my exact Yakima model online...but it was purchased from REI.com.
The new Ferrari with four-wheel drive may be quite nice in winter for skiing, but I don't brim over with enthusiasm for some magnetic roof-top ski holder or a normal ski rack! There is only one way to go Image Unavailable, Please Login
My dealer is actually checking into this for me. This was the second question after my wife learned of the FF......the first was whether you could attach a trailer hitch to pull a horse trailer.
Ok I accept that a trailer might be stretching it, but am I being unreasonable asking for roof bars on a car apparently suitable for ski trips? I'd love to sit in on some of their design meetings, do they get the golf fanatic to address the ski issue and vice versa Love it though, just specced mine for June delivery Whooppeee!
