Contact KS Autohandel. They have for sale one of five Dauer 962 Le Mans. This is the well-known ex Prince Jefri bare carbon & yellow stripes car.

    link : http://www.ks-autohandel.de/Cardetails.aspx?carid=6&brandid=0

Advertised as ex-prince Jefri car on Anamera :

One more supercar that has left the garages of Brunei. With only 700km on the clock...
I wonder if the 288GTO Evoluzione advertised through Mike Sheehan was theirs. The ad showed the Francorchamps collection car but this last one wasn't for sale and indeed, a car have been sold.

Cant understand how you missed the 3 Silverstones parked up together in the Rolls/Bentley special body section, upstairs G4 (and while u where there as they never moved during your duration) should have pointed that camera in the other direction... it helps if you hang onto the 35mm film and photo the cars in Fore&Aft quarter shots, nevermind i can mail it to you...

Cheers for that, yeah iam very curious if that 288GTO is the brunei one, cant see why the royals would hang onto it, it was another never-move piece apart from mechanics looking for an excuse to add it to their Resume, Its very interesting to see the pics of the Carbon Stripe Dauer....i have to be honest but that particular car was never housed with the other Dauer's(they where kept together with the mass of 959's and 911's and cant recall ever seeing it or even talking about it with the Dauer Spanner who was responsible for the unquie beasts, its possible it was housed at another location but would love to hear from anyone who knows for sure? How many road Dauers where produced? how many are sold to Brunei?

They built 11 street cars (as a subcontractor told me after he has asked Jochen Dauer a few months ago), five where in Brunei as the list shows:

    DAU DAUER BP962 TP99620175
    DAU DAUER KF9911 TP99620172
    DAU DAUER BQ7162 TP99620141
    DAU DAUER BQ7523 TP99620151
    DAU DAUER BQ126 99620133

I don't think that the carbon-car with the yellow stripes was a Brunei-car because it is LHD.

I've been told that the striped car wasn't in Brunei (that's why I deleted the pics about 2 weeks ago from my gallery), allthough the lists states it was. I've also been told that there were 5 Dauer's in Brunei, probably the four on the list and another one.

I was told by the guy who worked in the Ferrari's in Brunei, he told me that the first 550's that arrived shaked terribly and told me how they had to make many many corrections to the design and then send the design back to Pininfarina for the next ones to be fixed. Im not making anything up.

    400kmh a.k.a. Karl (@carpassion.com) ;-) ...

The car with the CL-Front could be a AMG/HWA-car, the Station-Wagon-conversion, the rims and the bodykit looks like AMG/HWA, but I'm not sure about the CL-front-conversion. But you get everything you want at AMG/HWA as long as it's street legal. This particular car is located in Japan as someone wrote at carpassion.com.

The picture with the the car under construction I found at the internet sometimes, it must be a picture taken in the famous "Sultan Room" at AMG in Germany.

I don't think that this HWA 300 SL is a Brunei-car because it's LHD and on the plate you can read the (german) first name of the owner, "Andreas".

Hi basman007 - the pictures are scanned from an old issue of Autocar magazine. The names I've used were those in the article. Let me dig up the magazine again and you can have a scan of the article too. I would like to commend you on your efforts - it's great that we're seeing more and more of the collection.

I'm amazed this thread is popular again.

    Many thanks

Ok fair enough, but the truth is..and its the whole truth is..... there was no shake, it was a resonance boom that was transmitted thou the B pillar of one car only that was delivered to brunei as the family where anxious for this new toy. The fault lay in the design of a certain component mount and was quickly put right, the 550 project when first concieved was on the ground running after six months, sure there where corrections but the royals did want this car before final finish and where very pleased knowing there was some issues to sort, the "corrections" were put right by the time the 2nd 550 was being built, your man in brunei who i do know and respect.. was not involved in any development work as he was a service mechanic only, sorry but i spent alotta time on this particular project with a small team that busted there balls to champion the rest, and to have someone to pick holes in it when they clearly cant remember facts nor where they directly connected does tick me off, awww i dont mean to be all godly like but i stick to facts, dont take offence! i remember being at an airfield testing the bespoke 550 against a standard 550, after carrying out various standing starts, Vmax accel tests the bespoke won everytime, now that is fact!

    Citronella,

Do you remember if the Brunei 288's were repainted and retrimmed at Pininfarina, and did any have any special modification other than being RHD?

There were at least 13 Tr Spyders in Brunei. 2 with Ferrari chassis numbers and 11 with Pininfarina numbers. On Chilidog's list 83096 was listed as an F90- the car was inspected in 2002 and noted to be a Tr Spyder(Silver-Blue/Black)

So, I was thinking: all the cars in that Japanese collection are LHD. Why would he order a RHD estate at HWA? It is very likely that that car was bought from the Brunei collection...
Do you know of any interior or engine pictures? maybe there are signs with the name of the Royal Family on it...
