Brunei got eight F-50. Five were RHD, Three LHD. All RHD have post-production serials if I remember well.
He never got that many F50's i believe (not having my serial list handy right now). Quite a few that were meant to be converted got stuck at Pininfarina when the **** hit the fan and never made it to Brunei. One of these was for sale recently in Europe and 2 more are in CA
7 F-50, not 8. Sorry. I've seen two for sale in UK (PF converted RHD cars), one was sold by Duncan Hamilton and the other was for sale through Coys aucion house (could have been the same car though). Not all Brunei cars went to Brunei. They have lots of Bentleys, Rolls, Ferraris that have never left the coutries where the Brunei family have huge properties (like London and Paris). Quote : / Brunei post-production RHD F50s are: 107515, 107530, 107560 and 107575. Regular Brunei F50s are: 102852, 102902 and 103033. These last two were NOT converted to RHD. Marcel Massini
Anyone knows something about this Rolls-Royce? Is it a "Brunei car" located in UK? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, allthough it looks alot like some of the Brunei Bentley's (Silverstone comes to mind). I used to have info on this car (I'm sure I posted it at SC.net), but I can't find it anymore.
Car was made by Dilip Chhabria's company in India (DCdesign). All their cars are handcrafted, I've seen a TV show featuring the making of the GO concept (2004). Panels were made outside of a very dirty garage with chickens running everywhere and workers hammering aluminium panels on wood tresters. It's almost unbelivable to see some nice and clean cars (not speaking about the style) comming out of this pile of garbage... Car seemed to be based on a wrecked Seraph. Nothing to do with Brunei. http://www.dcdesign.co.in/Ibserv_cus_ext_int.htm http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/fotoshows/dc_design_eine_werkschau.104620.htm
does the jaguar XJR15 belongs to brunei....... http://www.geocities.jp/tanetane92/20051123vi02.html (the first few pics is the car)
Uh... I'm sorry but I don't see it. This is the last post you made about the list you wanted to make: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136197578&postcount=374
where is the list....i have been waiting for it...btw i do not want this awesome thread to die of...so keep posting about the brunei cars...and why the sultan does not keep cars like lambo murci lp640....ferrari enzo...etc ????
The collection was very active when the Sultan and his brother were actually friends. Then years ago the brother caused some s#!t and had to leave the country (something to that effect - use Google). Since then many of the cars were sold off and I am sure many are rotting away in warehouses. Not sure if there is much collecting nowadays.
So what actually happened? The Sultan's brother used government money to pay for his extravagant lifestyle? And are these cars owned by the Sultan himself or his brother?
For those who are confused about what happened in Brunei, I'd suggest reading this article: http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2377622a2ds.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2377665d8qz.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2377669d1eh.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2377676d3jy.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2377686d5dl.jpg >8^) ER
It's my understanding that both indulged themselves with luxury items, but the more wild spending habits were attributed to Prince Jefri. I simply refer to the cars as belonging to the Brunei Royal Family as that covers everyone involved. >8^) ER
Best part of the article was about him buying Aprey's as an investment. Not realizing that he himself was there biggest customer (70 million pounds a year) Lol
