SUMMER SPOTTERS

A rosso F430, pearl yellow Gallardo, and an orange Murci around Tavern on Rush at about 3pm on Saturday.

 

One of these day I'm going to take a pic. Some guy around here drives a yellow 'Vette with the plates "Mr Slick". Watch out ladies!

 

Saw a black Testarossa in Hinsdale yesterday with temp WI tags and gold emblems.

 

Several weeks ago saw a nice dark blue Viper heading south on Rt. 53 in Woodridge. My 328 had no problem passing him with authority. As soon as he got around the semi in front of him, the contest was over.

 

I almost forgot, I think I saw the infamous Tony Tag. Red 360 Spider with a wing and gold rims..

 

Where and when?

He called Ed a couple of weeks ago, and said he was bringing the car in for service. It has a ball joint that's ready to let loose.

He never did show up, but that happens a lot. Hey, ya gotta understand 'Tony Tag'.

He really hates to have the car laid up, as he can't stand to be without it.

One time, it had a computer problem and if it was shut off, it wouldn't restart.

He just had to drive it to go out for dinner, so he left the car with the valet, letting it idle for 4 hours.

I like Tony. To most, he may seem a bit odd, but he is really a nice guy!

 

Saturday around 3:30pm when I was having lunch at Tavern On Rush.

 

That would be Tony!

He probably had the top down and the stereo blaring. He was probably topless too!!

 

Just a bit before 7 a.m. in St Charles - Nice looking grey or silver late model NSX heading North on Kirk Road. I like the earlier years with the pop-up lights better, but this one sure looked quite nice!

 

Idle? Well, that's at least according to the valet guy...

All in the same driveway at a lakeforest lakefront home while the garage was getting cleaned out . He had more in the garage but I couldn't make them out.

I see that Silver Carerra GT around wrigleyville all the time that you guys are talking about. Looks like a fairly young guy owns it (maybe it's his dads?). Hot rods it all around Addison, parked in front of Barleycorns occasionally. Sounds terrific.

Also see a orange gallardo around goldcoast often. A silver 360 on State just north of the bridge(was at that steak place there), and a beautiful white flying spur with a stranded black man outside on saturday night a little east of the Hyatt on Wacker - matching white Pimp hat noted

On Thursday, a tan Q-porte in downtown Hinsdale, and then a black CGT at Oberweis on Ogden in Downers Grove.

 

I saw a Shelby Cobra (I think that's what it is) in front of St. Charles Motorsport Collision this morning.
