Today downtown: Gary in his 430 Spyder cruising around
Hehe. If I could only figure out how to download pics from my cell phone: I took a couple shots of Gary.
If we could only figure out a way to get all the exotic car owners in the Chicago area together. Won't happen with this type of behavior. Rodney
I photographed this in a nearby junkyard. The mechanicals are junk, but the body looks good. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today was a good day. All spotted going southbound on the Edens all between 11:45pm and 11:50pm... -Metallic maroon Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible with white stripes -Grey Aston Martin DB9 Volante -Red NSX going very very fast. -Blue Lotus Elise
All spotted in the same trip. First a black BMW Z8 at Maple and 355. Then, a green GMC RV that looked remarkably like the one from the movie "Stripes". Next, a black Acura NSX that I parked next to. (I don't get these cars. Sure they look exotic, but the rear window glass is stamped with "Honda" scripts.) Finally, a red Audi R8 on Roosevelt passing Crossroads Chevy.
Today at Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway in Batavia, a red 360 Modena and an F355 (I believe) going northbound apparently together. Wish I had the Iphone at the ready!
Carla I think I saw you from my window this evening. Green Murci roadster turning East onto Chicago from State - don't know how many other Green Murci roadsters there are out there...
Grey Murcielago spotted after the Ferrari event yesterday. Car was cruising down Kingsbury in front of EBC. Looked and sounded awesome.
White twin turbo (license plate gave it away, not to mention it was LOUD) Gallardo and a silver Carrera GT-both on Rush yesterday. Anyone else see the Gallardo? It was unreal!
A Smart Car pulling a camper trailer on the highway. Lucky for him, the speed limit for vehicles with trailers is 55 mph - I don't think it could go much faster. I passed this guy at my regular speed, but couldn't get a camera out during the pass. I had to drive painfully slow for many miles before he caught up - just as I was exiting the highway. I would think on the downhills, it would. I was thinking that if the driver hit the brakes, the trailer would summersault the car. It probably could be pushed along by the air pressure built up in front of a semi-truck. When I first saw the trailer ahead of me, I thought "that's a pretty big trailer for a motorcycle to pull." I couldn't even see the car. I don't know what kind of engine this thing has, [ 1.5 cylinders, 3-stroke, 0.75 liter, and mix the oil with the gas? ], but I am sure it was wound out, and getting the worst possible mileage it could get. The car looked like it was packed to the gills, but it could have just been the driver's head pressed up against the back window.
Ferrari California (not the 250) Blk/Tan. Huron and state, nice understated car, I can imagine how great the performance must be.
I was at Miramar (sp?) in Highland park last night, in mid chew I looked up to none other than Michael Jordan walking to the table right next to us. Luckily I didn't spit out my duck in shock (used to be the biggest MJ fan growing up.). Kept my composure for the smile and head nod. Hell I was just as excited to see what he rolled up in. I don't know what was hotter, the chick he was with or the SL65 Black Series that was parked right out front when we left.
Not the prettiest thing, but it is a hell of a car performance wise. Best California I've ever seen in person. Perfection: Cool story! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dan, I saw that car too last weekend. Titanium/Bord. is my favorite color combo on any car, just can't go wrong. I saw a 360 in that color combo yesterday going down Orleans at around 9:45. Young guy in it, looked younger then me (27).
Red Mucielago last night in front of National 27. Sounded amesome. Not a fan of the aftermarket wheels, but to each their own.
Red/tan 348 Speciale headed east on 34 in Yorkville at lunch. Same as the one pictured in the posts from the Geneva Concours.
