Ok, here is my picture of the Prez as he landed around 6:30pm on (?) LSD near Lawrence. I didn't first know what was going on: I saw a strange looking vessel on the lake clearing Montrose harbor and then patroling. It looked more like Navy ship than a recreational boat. After that a couple Chinooks started circling Montrose harbor. Then suddenly LSD Northbound was totally backed up and no more cars going Southbound. That's when I put 2 and 2 together, ran for the camera just to come out as the Helicopter made its landing. My camera battery was almost empty and I was shouting in frustration not sure I made the picture or not. Then a couple of black SUVs drove alone on the empty Southbound lane (the pic I posted) which caused me to believe that was the Prez. In reality they had his armored limo ready and he drove to the Aragon, so I never saw that car. Later last night the scene repeated itself: Northbound LSD suddenly blocked. All entrances to the Southbound LSD blocked by police, emptying it completely. Then again Chinooks in the air. I go to the balcony and can smell the jet fuel of the Presidential helicopter, I hear the engine spinning up and watch him take off from LSD (?) towards O'Hare. Didn't get a good shot of that as it was pitch black, but I was happy to have seen it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
They are parking POTUS by the hush house pad at ORD now. I saw Air Force 1 and the C17 stitting there. They used to always park it by the old military area. They only fly one Airforce 1 747' at a time, but they do have 3 Marine helicopters together, with one being Marine 1. Soon they will be getting new Euro helicopters to fly POTUS.
How do the helicopters get around (as in from Washington DC to Chicago)? Are they airlifted themselves?
I think they have several stationed around the country. I am pretty sure they can stuff one on a C5B but have never seen it done. The trucks/limo come in on the C17.
and last night I saw an LP570 spyder in bianco (might have been a pearl) by scoozi's on Huron. Sounded incredible

Red Lexus LFA heading northbound on 53, just south of Woodfield around noon. Rear wing was WAY up, which made me think it was a pimped-out Civic from far away. Not so much as it got closer.
Red Lotus Elise with a Bentley FS following extremely close behind...on Dempster in Skokie today. Then a Rolls in Glenview.
Yellow 360 coupe northbound on Cumberland near Higgins yesterday afternoon. I'm normally not a big fan of yellow cars but it looked great.
Took out this twin supercharged rosso fiorano Scud on Saturday afternoon. Words cannot describe the feeling under full throttle - Going under a bridge under hard acceleration, it sounded as close to an F1 car as I have heard in a long time, possibly better than the Carrera GT. Also saw this champagne colored 612 on Milwaukee just north of Ashland early last week - great color. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I believe this is the one that was for sale at BGC a few weeks ago, correct? Did you buy it? I saw it at Supercar Saturday and it's even more amazing in person... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very cool, glad to hear that such a gorgeous car is staying local. Feel free to pass that picture along to the owner. Here it is in high res: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6056/5907392393_c78fe2b85e_o.jpg
