Where would you like to go and why? I haven’t been to Yellowstone or Yosemite. I doubt I can do better than Ansel Adams - but still long to see El Capitan, Half Dome & all the geo weird features. Also would like to revisit and mountain bike Hawaii’s big island and photograph everything to include Kilauea’s active flows. What spots would you love to experience before you die?

My wife and I with our 2 small children rented a motorhome in Seattle and drove all the way down the coast to San Diego, over into AZ and back up again. Driving the west coast through WA, OR than CA is something I think people should try to do at least once.

    I'll do it again.....just not with a 27ft motorhome:)

The only places I would want to go in the US as of now would be LA and Miami.

All the others arent in the US.

Houseboat in Lake Powell, then Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park. The best natural features in America IMO.

Fall in Door County, Wisconsin is nice.

One place I would like to go someday is the Grand Canyon.

Another one that would be interesting from a historical perspective would be to take a tour of all the founding fathers sites: Monticello, Mt Vernon, Boston, Philidelphia, etc. I saw most as a kid but would enjoy it much more now. A week or so spent going to as many as possible would be great.

In a few years we will go to Hawaii. My wife wants the beach, I want volcanos and the USS Missouri.

Seems like so many places look much like the photos in the guide book, except for the weather might not be as nice as the day the photo was taken, and there's often a lot more people around when I am there, and there's more trash on the ground, or it looks smaller in real-life, etc., etc. But Yosemite was one of the few places where, even though I had seen it in so many photos before, it just took my breath away. For decades I had always considered going there on vacation, but decided to go somewhere else, thinking, "yeah, yeah; big rock, forest, waterfall - I've seen all of these things before". But going to see Yosemite gave me a clear picture of how words like "gobsmacked" came into existence.
