Steve and Lucas (G-Gore) are preparing for this very intensively also. They are going to put together the footage they shoot and make a DVD out of it. Also a 5-15 mint coverage to post online.
I'm not looking to make money on this at all, but will gladly listen to your ideas.

Weehawken lots are ENORMOUS indeed, but last I remember some of the roads you take to get into those lots are horrific with bumps, rocks and major potholes and what not. Its been a while since ive been to those lots so I could be wrong. Not for nothing, with the magnitude of cars for this one, where ever we DO meet will bring attention from the public and im sure John Q Law wont have a blind eye.

True if we meet in the parking lot of a business, we will have the store to contend with. Unless we throw them Niptuck as a sacrificial peace offering?

These are just my .02 cents. I understand what you guys are getting at by moving to a different lot. What if the meeting spot is updated and people don't check back on the thread to see it. It would be very unfortunate for the person who went to the wrong meeting spot and missed the run due to a last minute change. That's just my view on this.

Thats the main reason I don't want to change the location either.
If I do change it I'll have to contact 70+ people and notify them of the change.
Not everybody on the list even comes to forums. Some of them are friends and friend's of friends and so on.
I think the only thing the manager at the Whole Foods will say seeing all the cars in the lot is "WOW!!", by the time he walks around and looks at all the beauties parked it'll be time for us to leave.
Eric, do you think letting Whole Foods manager know in advance will do any good?

Have one or two guys/girls stay at the initial meet spot and cell phone the other "improved" meeting area.

Letting the store know ahead of time will make it worse. Gives them time to organize to keep us out. That would be bad at this point. Play dumb if it starts a commotion and we move to another area and leave one or two behind for the late comers.

I understand what you're saying, however what you stand to lose by having a bad meeting spot vs. losing a few who don't check the board is not equal.

Telling Whole Foods that you plan to use their lot for a car meet will not give them a warm fuzzy feeling. Technically it's private property and if we take up 70+ spots they are NOT going to be happy with us.

With the EPD next door this can become an issue quickly and if we are told to move...you will then have a more serious problem on your hands.

Moving the meeting spot now will allow most if not all people to know they are arriving at a wide open discreet location whereas we can greet everyone, walk around a bit, and then leave in a ceremonius way.

I know the Whole Foods lot well...and let me tell ya that it's congested, regardless of what time in the AM you go there. Not to mention the fact that you have to exit via a traffic light which will undoubtedly cause separation issues right off the bat.

Usually not an issue...but with 70+ cars it will be.

If I don't get hammered at work the night before I'll be there. I have a couple friends who are also interested and wanted to know roughly how many miles will this run be.

As of right now my saturday is going to be busy until around 6-7PM and a b-day party at around 9. I'll call you if anything changes. I already have everything ready as far as routes and stops go, so we're good to go.

I'm just throwing it out there- probably because I'm selfish- but everyone can meet at my house/development. Big enough to accomodate 70 cars and very convenient [for me].

    Eh? :)

Not going to directly pass your area on this one...

I've decided to take Eric's advice on the meeting spot.
I do agree with him that going through the hassle of trying to reach everybody on the list and informing them that the meeting spot is literally 2 mints down the street is a better option, than having the police come and make us leave.
The new spot is the next parking lot. Bigger space and enough parking with absolutly nobody bothering us.

    The new meeting spot is

    737 River Road
    Edgewater, NJ 07020

I'll have the 1st post edited also. Make sure to let everybody you invited know about the new place.
I'll probably have somebody at the Whole Foods parking lot just in case anybody didn't get the news and goes there.

Since there is more and more issues to be disscused in larger group, I thought maybe we could meet online sometime later this week in kind of conference call - multiple (voice)chat on AIM or something similar. This way all ppl involved in organizing and running the show could double check all issues and discuss new ones... What you think?

this makes me so depressed. I see all of these amazing cars coming to this meet and such a variety, and I don't even have a car to come to this. Damn Philly people, being lazy and not wanting to go to this..
