The sun visors in my car desperately need to be adusted so that they stay up when put up ... I can see one small phillips head screw and not much else. This screw does not seem to be able to be tightened and may well be frozen.

Has anyone else been through this ?
Has anyone rebuilt their sun visors ?

Trying to remember when I leathered my headliner and recovered the visors, there is a stainless clamp which tightens onto the main swivel rod. The screw had to be removed to slide the rod out soas to remove the visor, didn't have problems removing mine. The wee C clamp, about 3/16" wide and threads on one side, is unfortunately buried into the covering material, tough to get at without removing the tape which is sewn onto the edges.

FYI, fun time buying a cow hyde for your Ferrari...cost about $450. End results great, far better than the cotton weave headliner which was coming loose from the roof and had hair oil stains immediately above the driver.

Try to work the screw free, then tighten it. (which you've already tried) GL
