Sunday 3-18 Morning Canyon Drive

Get to VCR and propose it. Probaly they like it. Get the ride to Angele's crest. It's a stunning drive. We had this drive with Las in his BMW, and even with that car it was stunning!

In all seriousness, when you anounce a drive do not post the area you are going to be driving, and if you are going to do any driving do it some where off the beaten main path.

 

How about meeting at VCR and doing some runs through the Malibu canyons? We should meet early, like 7am, do the drive and come back to VCR or go for breakfast if enough people are interested.

I'm up for a drive this Sunday morning, malibu cyns are preferred ... Could meet at VCR, I am in Topanga area if no one minds a DB9 coming along. PM me or let me know what time to meet.

 

Sorry its best not go for a run anywhere near mailbu or the Santa Monica mtns roads. Just way too risky, Cyclist, bikers, pedistrians, Over zelious residents who think the public roads are their private drive ways. Good Luck and have fun.

 

I agree it's dangerous .. I'd also be up for Pasadena area, never really driven up around those hills / roads before.

I will be at VCR at 7:00AM this Sunday. If no one shows up, I will just enjoy the drive by myself, which I often do anyways on Sunday mornings. I know the canyons can be congested on Sundays but that is why we are starting out early before there are too many cyclists, and we will stay away from the residential areas and find some back roads, which there are plenty of in the Malibu canyons.

Karim, if you are not going on other drives, you will be more than welcome to join us and lend us your expertise on these back roads.

Please let me know if any of you would like to join. Any car would be welcome and it should be fun and very informal. We will try to keep the drive to less than an hour and be back to VCR by 8:00 am and have breakfast at McDonald's(open to other suggestions) in the VCR complex.

Also, feel free to just show up at 7am if you are not sure about your schedule and do not want to commit.

not a problem... i understand this is just a nice relaxing cruise i dont think the same way most of the "kids" my age do. I am not some punk ass who thinks his car is the fastest thing on earth and i need to show everybody. But i understand your need to remind me haha so on that note count me in

Well it's good to see I'm not the only sane one my age haha unfortunately I can't head up this weekend. Thought hopefully sometime next month I'll be able to meet some of you guys for a short cruise and good ol' Mickey D's.
